Sad :(

Maria - Yeah we are only entitled to one IVF too once i am 30, it was 35 but they dropped it last year. It does suck, i hate the PCT and NHS. Oooh so what happens when they are abolished?.

Get this, i asked for help with losing weight and to see a dietician but they told me they don't send people to dieticians who need to lose weight?!?!...they only send people who need help for medical conditions.

well, the NHS will be going through some major reforms and my gynae said that PCTs will be the first to go and everyone seems really pleased about it! Apparently at the moment they just add to the red tape and create confusion and inconsistencies.

I know that your NHS system must be really frustrating & not always so great, but coming from a US state that doesn't mandate infertility coverage with insurance (for which I pay), I'm rather jealous! One free shot sounds like a dream -- we'll be paying $12,000 (about 1/2 of our savings) for our one shot! :winkwink:

Anyway, I'm sorry you're feeling blue, fairy! I think everyone knows what you're going through.

Thanks for the accupuncture advice, Reba -- I'm going to check that out where I am.

Mercy - Thanks, hope you can find some acupuncture and it helps. x

Hi,

I'm feeling a bit down today, feeling like it will never happen, four and a half years and counting .

Feels so unfair that there are others on the there 2nd, 3rd, 4th child etc and others that fall pregnant and don't want them, etc. When we like many other couples are still awaiting our first, can't see the justice myself.

Sorry for the down post.

x

Sending you hugs and hope today is a better day for you :hugs:

:hugs: hun,

as the ladies have already said, please don't apologise for opening up - that's what we're here for, and tbh, i for one am pleased you came here to open up x x x

it's a horrid journey mate, there's no two ways about it - it sucks. And you're right, you just see more and more announcements in everyday life as time goes by and that sucks too x x x

I'm currently having a pessimistic phase - but i know i'll replace it at some point with an optimistic one. Sometimes we just need to allow ourselves to feel as we do - it's our way of dealing with it - so dont ever apologise for that cherub x x x

i'm pleased you're feelin a bit better today, be nice to yourself x x x

thinking of you x x x

Where do you live fairy? I can't believe how ridiculous the postcode lottery is!! The NHS are offering me 3 free IUI's and 1 free IVF and have said i can have it this year and i'm only 25. Whats wrong with this country! I totally understand what mercyme is saying as if we had to pay it would be awful and we'd moan even more!

MrsF - Thank you for your lovely kind words. :hugs:

Milliemoo - I live in Hampshire hun, not too far from you, about 1.5hrs away. Its just crazy, it should be a set amount for everyone. Having said that i'm glad you are able to get those on the NHS.

x
