After I had my first baby and quit breastfeeding, my breasts looked empty and saggy and they never regained their fullness. I was so embarrassed of them. Now they are full again only because I am pregnant but I know they will go back to saggy once I quit breastfeeding this time around. Has this happened to anyone else? My boobs get SO big with pregnancy so I am guessing because they got so big then smaller again the skin never had a chance to catch up. I guess I will have to have surgery

Girl I am sure it does (this is my first so I cant speak from experience). I know a girl who is about my same size and after 4 kids, she had a lift and she looks AMAZING!! I might get one anyway. People say breastfeeding makes them saggy, do you know if that’s true?

I've heard this but never knew it was one of those myths like "shaving makes your hair grow back thicker" which isn't true.

My dad told me once that my mom had bigger boobs before she had kids. ("But don't tell her I said that!") :haha:

I know loads of people will prob disagree with me but yes I do think it's bf that makes them saggy well in my case anyway. My boobs don't get hugely bigger in pregnancy but do when my milk comes in after birth. I didn't bf my first and so they only got BIG for a couple of days and then went back to my normal. Second I bf for a month, they were huge the whole time then afterwards were like empty little sacks!! Horrid! I suppose if your boobs get a lot bigger just with pg then they are stretch for 8/9 months then longer if bfing so they may sag after.

My boobs got a bit saggy but filled out after I stopped breastfeeding. I then lost a lot of weight and they went saggy again so I'm with you on getting an uplift I'm going to start saving after baby is here x

Which is one of my reasons for not breastfeeding. I know its superficial but I already don’t want to do it anyway. I don’t tell many people that I don’t want to because even my midwife tried to make me feel bad about my decision (even cried when I told her the first time I wasn’t going to do it).

It's not breastfeeding that makes them sag; it's fluctuations in size. Regardless of whether or not you choose to breastfeed, your breasts will still become engorged after delivery and that can cause sagging due to the size changes. I'm not too afraid of them sagging. I've never had amazing breasts to begin with (I got stretch marks during puberty), and hubby loves them anyway.
Giving my daughter the best start to life is what's most important to me. Besides, the cost of a boob job is comparable to the amount you'd spend in formula anyway.

Mine sagged after I breast fed my son as well, and Ive been wondering what will happen this time and whether they'll get any worse :nope: Im planning on BF again, but was wondering if they would stay "fuller" looking if I didnt, but I guess not? x

Mine never sagged after. Granted, they never grew either (you can't sag an A cup very much) but were full of milk.

Unfortunately I think it's one of those things - some girls have perfect stomachs after, some don't. Some girls breast sag, some don't. Some get stretch marks, a few don't. It's a crap shoot and it can change even with different pregnancies.

I think that pregnancy can make them sag, even if you don't breastfeed. My boobs didn't grow that big (less than a cup size) in my first pregnancy and then I fed my daughter for 8 months so obviously they had times when they were pretty big, for me anyway. At least 2 cup sizes bigger than normal. My boobs may be a tiny bit less pert than they were but wouldn't say they are saggy or empty looking so think some of it has to do with how big they get in pregnancy, how long / if you breastfeed and some is just plain old genetics that you can't do anything about.

My friend didn't breastfeed her 2 kids at all but had saggy boobs because they grew so much in her pregnancy. She has a boob job though and now is very happy with them. I'm waiting to see how mine are after this one!

Enjoy your boobs for now and then see how you feel after baby :)

I agree with PP and think that its pregnancy that makes them sag. Mine were 32C pre first preg and they grew to 34D afterwards, stretchmarked and just lifeless. I hated them
Now this time theyre up to a 32E and i know they;re going to be worse.
i didnt breastfeed.

Def not breastfeeding that makes your boobs saggy. It's just pregnancy. I nursed my son for a year and my boobs aren't saggy

I know people with saggy bbs who haven't even been pregnant before... sometimes i think its just in your genes, but also I think being pregnant can also do it too. I however am at a A cup.. and haven't grown at all, I've always been bugged about how I'm boobless so maybe mine won't sag?

Looks like I will be opting for the breast lift! I'm going to try chest exercises after this baby too to see if I can tighten up my chest muscles but once that skin is stretched I think its permanent so it may be a lost cause :(

Saggy breast are a result of lack of support during pregnancy. I wore a sports bra 24/7 when i was preg with my son and i grew 2 whole cup sizes i breastfed him and my breast are still perky. Im doing the same thing this time and they still look FANTASTIC! My hubby agrees.

I guess I need to sleep in a sports bra because I wear a bra 24/7 night and day and mine still sag

It is not breastfeeding that makes it go saggy it is pregnancy itself, the biggest increase in size is during pregnancy. The main reason is big change in size and lack of supportive bras.
I went from a 34C to a 36DD/34E last pregnancy I went up 3 cup sizes, in fact other than initial engorged breast I never went bigger than 36DD/34E while nursing, then boobs went down to 34DD, never a C.
Although while I did not have a really deflated boob, it is definately not standing, like it was back then

If the size increased a good bit, it is almost impossible not to notice a change, also a lot of maternity bra have no support. I am finding hotmilk bras really good instead of the stupid M&S ones I had te last time. Women that do not have big changes in breast size often keep the shape better.

I told hubby he will have to pay for augmentation, he said only if I can go for baby number 3 and 4, I am like no 2 is enough.

arhhh me to, they are a little fuller than usual but theyve not managed to reach bcup status!!!

My breasts look amazing right now, so I'm just enjoying that while I can lol. I've never liked my breasts, they've always been small - perky but small. Now they're perky and HUGE and I love it (and so does my OH haha) I figure if they sag, they sag. At least I'll get a good year and a half to two years of amazingness through pregnancy and breastfeeding before they start to sag.
