Which do you prefer? And why?

Thanks x

Thats how it's spelt and i think it just looks better, Samson im not too keen on either way they will be shortend to Sam

I voted Samuel because I prefer the traditional spelling and Samson just isn't my cup of tea.

I voted Samuel, mainly because thats the only way ive known it to be spelt  and I cant imagine a baby called Samson because I had a rottweiler called that when I was little. xx

Samuel, just because it's the only spelling I've seen before.

I really like Samson, i think its a strong name, and its a bit different without being too off the wall, so very my cup of tea. Plus it reminds me of a guy i knew at uni who was super cool and had a great attitude to life, so i guess for me it will always have a positive attachment.

Samual because I like the unique spelling...Samson is my brother's dog's name :( But to be fair my best friend has a dog "Logan" and I love that name for a boy!

I LOVE Samson, it is on our shortlist, it is such a strong and beautiful name. It's unusual without being crazy and it can be shortened to Sam.

:flower:

prefer Samuel b/c Samual looks like a mispelling to me and Samson is a different name.

Samuel.. same as others have said.. I love that name for the nn Sam :]

DS is called Max and I know that's a popular dogs name

Thanks. I see it as a strong name too. Max is a strong name and I think the two are nice and strong together but i know it's not popular.

The reason Ive added Samson is because, my Max is called Max but we always call him Maximus at home, a strong name and I think even if we called him Samuel/al i would still call him Samson as a nickname at home so why not actually put it on the birth certificate iykwim x

Samson is a strong MAN name and a precious baby name all at the same time.

Samuel spelt with an 'e' is my favourite. Don't know why. Like the sound of it and it's easier on the eye than Samual!

Samuel, its a good choice! lol! my boy is samuel.

my surname is herschell, arh! so its a nightmare having to spell it everytime i have to give mu details. so tradional spellings for me.

I LOVE the Sam paired with a longer middle name. Times are changing...and chances are your little one will prefer Sam or Samuel. I know this b/c I named my daughter Samantha Kate. I love and have always loved the name Sam. I regret not just naming her Sam. I should have done Sam-Kate _____. I think you could do, Sam Benjamin or Sam Alexander...something to think about. My daughter never refers to herself as Samantha. Only Sam. She loves her name, but stongly prefers Sam. Hope this helps!

I like Samuel, I think if names are spelt differently then other people will always spell the childs name wrong. xxx

His middle name is Thomas, but to us Sam Thomas, just sounds wrong and Samuel/al/son sound better. But you're right, he'll hardly ever be called by his full name. We just want one on the birth certificate x

I suppose it doesn't really bother me as my name is Michele which people spell wrong all the time and my maiden name was Deffley which no one could ever spell  x
