What can I put in finger sarnies for Caitlin?

Dairylea cheese
Ham
Cheese slice

???

She lovessss finger food :D

Chicken and sweetcorn
Chicken paste (buy in jar from shop) - you'll have to check the ingredients though
Strawberry jam
Philadelphia
Cheese/tomato and pickle

I think you can use tuna as long as its not in brine :)

xxx

marmalade
cream cheese
jams
pastes (in jars)
marmite (she might like it)

theres lots of stuff but it does depend on if she likes them or not in the end, i had fussy one's who only ate ham and dairylea

Cold Roast Chicken always goes down a treat with the little ones I nanny.

Also, when they get sick of sarnies, I just give them bread and butter with little things like cheese sticks, ham slices, cucumber rounds, cooked soft carrot, pepper slices, a few rice cakes, cut up grapes etc etc etc on their plate so they can choose what they want out of that lot . . . :hugs:

Egg mayo and tuna mayo are popular in our house as well as cheese and branston.

Katie would eat anything:rofl:
but Joe loves ham, egg, and anything spreadable

its so handy when they start eating like this, makes going out handier:happydance:

Ok this kid can turn my livingroom into mush with just dry bread so forget the egg mayo!!!!! lmao!

Can she have jam at 8 months??!

there's no reason why not it's just sugar and fruit, although you might want to limit the amount you spread on the bread to a thin scraping, not pile it on like i do my marmalade

daddy has gave katie jam:blush: she bloomin loved it too, everything in moderation.

Katie is mow 10 months and you do relax abit, thankfully. I mean for gods sake jam isnt as bad as the fly I caught in her hand last week:dohh::rofl: she was about to eat it too

jacob prefers a little selection.. he gets bored with a sandwich so i let him make his own. I'll give him a plate of cucumber, cherry toms halfed, ham or chicken slice and bread n butter fingers. He loves taking bites of each.

h x

Bethanie had jam and still has it, but I try not to give it too much as I think it has a fair bit of sugar in it. And yea, I agree mamafy.. it's great not having to worry about taking food out for her in the days, I can just grab her something from the shops/cafe with me.

we tried toast and philadelphia the other day, but Juleika wasn't to keen on it. might be, 'cos she didn't feel hungry though.

I'm getting more relaxed about the food topic as well, what a relief!

even let her lick on my magnum the other day and she loved it ;)

Its great when we get more relaxed isnt it? I find it such a relief that I'm not worrying about every little thing and Katie is happier too

If I have some leftover puree, I sometimes use that as a baby sandwich spread :) x
