Hi everyone.

I miscarried last Wednesday night, so it's been a week now. The bleeding has slowed down to only taking place when I go to the ladies' room - but it's a combo of blood and CM (sorry if TMI!).

Since it only happens when I go to the bathroom and I really want this to clear up so we can start TTC this weekend, does it make sense to drink lots of water and purposely *try* to go more often?

Just trying to see if my logic makes sense here.

I don't think so. Blood only comes when you go to the bathroom cos you relax your muscles and allow it to flow away. Blood is sitting up in your vagina the rest of the time too, but your muscles keep it in. Its not possible to get it to come out of the uterus (through the cervix) any quicker than it is.

I know it feels like such a rush to crack on with ttc, but let your body heal itself first to give the next LO the best start it can get.

Good luck x

Sorry for your loss. It really is an awful experience to have to go through. When I had my miscarriage the bleeding had more or less stopped after about a week. On and off spotting then continued for about 3 weeks afterwards. One of my friends had more or less the same experience but I think it can be different for everybody. You need to be absolutely sure the bleeding has stopped before BD again though as you are at risk from developing infection if it hasn't. Hope this helps.:hugs:
