sat nav

I am thinking of buying a sat nav for someone as a pressie this christmas, problem is i know nothing about them. I have tried looking into them on-line but just getting more and more confused. Can anyone recommend a 1/2 decent one for under £100. It doesnt need to be used abroad if that makes any difference.
