Hi ladies, well me and the OH recently decided to start saving for IVF for the future. I am only 23 but have been ttc on and off for 4 years i concieved after 2years of trying only to end in a missed mc :( i feel like so many of you ladies its like an emotional rollercoster and some days i can feel so depressed and feel like im never going to be a mother....i have also looked into adoption but that would be my last option if all else fails as it can take years to process and can sometimes be declind. My OH did a SA last month which came back all good :) Ive currently lost nearly 3 an half stone to help with my chances of pregnancy as advised by my doctor (still more to go yet but im getting to my goal) and have been put on my first clomid cycle 50mg but i want to make sure i have a good chance in the future and if that means IVF then i will do anything to help me in our journey to have a child. My doctor did say if clomid doesnt work they will try other things but my last option is IVF treatment on the NHS but if that fails then i want to give it more than one go and so i have finally started saving as i was told it can cost anywhere between £6000-£8000 per treatment

(Money isnt an issue to be honest i would pay more if i could at the end of the day you can't put a price on a child and its worth all the money if it works)

sorry for rumbling on is anyone else in this situation and has decided they will go for IVF in the future? think i want to wait til im 25 then start IVF if i havnt concieved by then

sending you all lots of baby dust :)
x

Since you are young, perhaps getting free IVF by being an egg donor could be an option? Good luck!
:dust:

How can you get free IVF from donating eggs? I'm 26, am I too old for this option? DH and I have decided to start IVF this summer. All the money we had saved for our child was spent on medical bills when I had an ectopic which didn't respond to methotrexate and my tube ruptured and had to be surgically removed. So we're going to have to take out a loan and make monthly payments. It's going to be expensive but we both agree it's worth it. I was already considering donating eggs to those who need them, having gone through this processes has made me want to help others. But if there's a way to help others that would also reduce the debt that IVF will put us in then that would be great! Do you know where I can find more info on this? Thanks!

There's many in the UK like:
https://www.hertsandessexfertility.com/Free-IVF-for-Egg-Sharers.aspx
https://www.nurture.ac.uk/news/nurture-appeals-for-egg-donors
https://www.eggsharing.com/

I posted it since the OP was from the UK.
Don't know about US. But 26 is young enough, the age limit is usually 35.
Here's one I Googled: https://www.eggdonorsurrogacyusa.com/egg_donor_compensation.php

Good luck:dust:

thaks quaver do you do egg sharing hun i wan to do his if there is no bfp off more clomid x x

I'm looking into egg sharing or donating but I live in the US, sorry Caz :( I think it would be lovely to share.

I assume the USA and world wide do eggsharing hun its not just the UK that do it. Most clinics offer eggsharing. Loads of ladies are waiting on ladies whom are willing to eggshare.

Myself eggshared and have a little princess on the way.. I think its a lovley idea to eggshare

beauty im going to do if this clomid dosent work x x x

I would suggest Care Manchester if you do hun there brilliant

We couldnt try anything as only thing was ICIS with us due to MF sperm problems.. We couldnt get funding as PCT having problems with money so we decided private. Then i did some research into eggsharing and decided this was the route for us.

Good luck

my friend is doing that there hun i go privet at liverpoolwomans it 550 there but 600 at manchester but i will do it this clomid dosent work but fx it does x x x

I will be doing this if clomid doesnt work thanks for letting me know about this i didnt have a clue about it. when they say free ivf for egg sharing is that just for 1 ivf treatment? x

Your need to research some clinics on where you would go hun, as its NOT free and prices varies depending on what clinic you use and wot treatment for example ICIS is more expensive at my clinic then normal ivf..

I think all in with me using ICIS was £1800 if we didnt need ICIS it would of been around £900. This included all drugs, blood tests and screening tests and scans etc.

Please note I used Care clinic. I know a lot of other ladies whom have paid less using other clinics.. However personally i chose Care due to the experience they have on eggsharing and it was local to me as well..

Do some research first, and there is tests etc to be done before being accepted.

Good luck. x
