Im so so nervous yet excited! 
Does any one have any experience of having a scan in week 9 and what can i expect to hear/see?

I've not had a scan at 9 weeks so I don't know what you'll be able to see. I had a scan at 6+5 and we saw a 'splodge' that was the baby and his/her heartbeat! things develop so quickly in these first few weeks - I imagine you'll see more than we did!
I know how you feel (nervous & excited)... I'm like that at each scan! I'm sure everything will be perfect and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you so make sure you update after your apt!

ps: if they date the baby as younger than your dates, don't worry - it seems to happen to a lot of people and as long as the heartbeat is strong, it doesn't seem to worry the sonographer / consultant.

i had a scan last week and i was 9 weeks 5 days,i could see everything,its little head and body,its fluttering heartbeat,it even had it's arm up like it was waving at us.needless to say i had more than a few tears!good luck and enjoy.xxx.

I had my first scan at 8 1/2 weeks and could see a peanut shape but both arms were flailing around. That baby did not stop moving the entire time I was pregnant and was even squirming during labor (which they aren't supposed to do) and she hit the ground running. So, it you see a squirmy wormy, you will probably have a pretty active babe, maybe yours will be mellow and you'll get a cool calm baby

its a private scan so i get pictures in with the package! i couldnt wait til 14 weeks! did you have an internal? They only do abdo at the place im going as they mainly do 4D scans, I can't eat or sleep i've been in a tizz all day
