Hi all,

This is my first pregnancy and i have scared my self by reading up too much about miscarriages etc all i keep thinking is that its going to happen to me, Im a month and a half into my pregnancy. I've had all the symptoms... I just want someone to reassure me that miscarriages dont happen all the time...

Ive read about it so much thats im so so worried, I un derstand it could happen but i dont want to keep thinking about it over and over again

Thanks all.

x

Firstly, congrats! This is my 1st pregnancy too so I understand why you're worried. But stop reading up on miscarriage! No good can come from it. Keep your thoughts positive and just keep imagining holding your little one at the end of this pregnancy :)

Thank you so much - its nice to speak to people who are or have been in the same situation! I mean i understand 6 weeks is early but in theory thats only 7 and a half to go thats not that much.

Also your pregnancy is classed from the first day of your last period, right? Ive been confusing myself all night ahaha x

Congratulations!
It's my first too and also very scared.
I'm 7+4 and feel your worries!
These forums are great but you also see / hear the otherside of it but you have to think about the fact so many babies are born and everything is fine and so many woman get pregnant and everything is fine!
I am a total worrier but trying to think what will be will be and if this baby is meant to blossom it will! All I can do is give it a warm and comfy environment and lots of love right from now!
Good luck and congrats again xx

Sorry - also I just work week by week. 12 weeks is too far away so I focus on making it to the start of a fresh week and I've found that helps. With every week that passes the chances of a healthy pregnancy increases :) x

Thanks all and congrats to both of you! what does 7 + 4 mean? is that 7 and 4 days? im so confusedd haha.

xx

Congrats ! I also worried myself sick with thoughts of miscarriage, it's such a scary time. To this day at 27+4 I'm still worried. Google is your ENEMY, do not use it... You will find horror stories

awww congrats... I know google is what made me so worried. I want to be excited and so i should. :) xx

For me, my excitement began at 24 weeks. I wish I enjoyed more of the beginning. I hav no pictures, no happy memories because I was so scared

Congratulations :D yep pregnancy is scary stuff.. And thing can go wrong. Its worth remembering the VAST majority of pregnancies are fine though, and that while they are helpful, these types of boards have a disproportionate number of ladies who have had problems.
Please try and enjoy your pregnancy :) you've done your part for now and it's out of your hands, i can't tell you it will be fine but i can guarantee you in 6 months from now life will be different no matter what, so enjoy the ride :)

I'm totally nervous!

I have Factor Five, and I made the mistake about reading how it could effect my pregnancy... NEVER AGAIN! I see the specialist on Tuesday and from now on I'll get my advice from her, not google. ;)

I was a wreck during my first pregnancy. Every twinge and growing pain made me go online and start researching. I was also a chronic 'panty checker' every time I felt that oh so pleasant wetness just knowing I was going to find blood. I had a textbook pregnancy and went overdue by 4 days. I now have a beautiful (and rambunctious) 2 yr old. I'm a little more relaxed this time around but it's still nerve wracking none the less. Hang in there, we all go through it; but, the vast majority of pregnancies go off without a hitch. Try to enjoy as much of it as you can.

I understand the worry, but try not to! The internet is full of information but not many people will make random posts on the internet saying 'Oh I feel great, my pregnancy is going perfectly!' so of course all you'll be reading and seeing will be lots of posts of miscarriage, concerns and problems. Just be happy about what you have ahead of you. :)

^ Well, I'm posting one now!

Six and a half weeks and I feel great! No morning sickness, and somehow I'm more attractive than ever.

Take that scary stories!
