I lost a baby at 6 weeks in March, and had to have a D&C. I got my period normally for five months, and then just went five months with OUT a period. I just today got my period with horrible pain. My partner and I have been trying, but I decided to wait until I know if I have this syndrome or not. I went to the gynecologist today and he said he won't even check me, because I got a period, but SO many women have this syndrome that have a period. Anyone think they had this and DIDN'T? Anyone have a similar story as me? Happy stories and sad ones welcome! Should I get a second opinion?

The fact you are questioning it says that your gut says to get a second opinion! If ever in doubt go for it, you know your body better than anyone!

I agree it needs investigated as it isn't normal not to have a period for that long.

I'd also advise against self diagnosis from google as there are so many things than can affect periods.
