Hi im 17, 18 soon and im 17 weeks and 2 dayz gone

im coming from another pregnancy forum site (which i wont name) but they never seemed to help

i have loads of questions i want to ask but my major one is...

i have a scan on thursday (in 2 dayz) for a scan and was wondering weather i would be able to find out the sex yet. some people i asked in the other forum just called me silly or looked down on me, but hello first pregnancy how am i supose to no

so erm yeah would m/w b able to tell me the sex thursday

dont think they can tell till atleast 16 weeks, even then its not always clear.
so u might find out, but not definately

Welcome to the forum! As far gone as you are they should be able to tell you the sex of the baby (depending on the skill of the technician and their policy--some places won't give you the sex of the baby for legal reasons, in case they are wrong and get sued) Anyways it never hurts to ask the tech and see if you can find out!

They may well be able to tell you but check your hospitals policy as some wont tell you at all!!

hey congrats on your pregnancy and sorry about the other site not being helpful. At 17 weeks they should be able to tell you the sex if there hospital policy allows them to tell you.

BTW I am 17 weeks 6 days today and just turned 18 yesterday so if you need anyone to talk to i am here. i dont know where your from but I am from the states but still if you have any questions deffinately feel free to ask. I have my scan next monday and will be 18 weeks 5 days.

I managed to found out the sex at around 15 weeks and got it conformed at over 20 weeks.

Yes!!They will be able to tell what sex your having! They will most likely say 'It looks like a...boy/girl' to cover their own backs if their wrong

How did your scan go 2day? Did they tell you the sex?

hi as far as i know they usually tell you the sex at the 20 week scan. what forum was it hun? there's one i used to go on loads when i was pregnant called pregnancy info and the whole thing has turned so childish and judgemental so i stopped going on it. welcome to BnB, you'll always get support on here no matter what your age or situation etc x x x

& yes you should be able to find out the sex! Can normally see after 16 weeks so aslong as baby hasn't got legs crossed you should be able to see good luck!
