It's been a long time since I have been here, and to be honest I wasn't expecting this bit of bad news after christmas.
Here is my story this month.
I Have PCOS, and my cycles are a 32 day cycle, me and my partner weren't trying for a baby because of a horrible miscarriage in September 2011, and i decided it was time for a break, and because I don't tend to fall pregnant easily I didn't really think of it.
Well here's the weird part.
I had my period normally this month and came on right on time 32 days, didn't think much of it, because naturally you wouldn't.
A couple of days ago I started to spot bleed, (which never happens to me...)
I thought it was strange esp a week AFTER my period, So i took two tests.
Both came up positive.
I made an appointment with the doctor because I have been scared, and i have had one sided pain.. (but i'm not sure if it's because of cysts etc) so now I am worried It's an ectopic pregnancy or I have already had a MC.
Doctor felt tummy and said my whole abdomonal area was tender, but i explained to her that I am always like that due to a problem thats under investigation.
I am still spotting blood mostly there when i wee, I have really sore boobs, and I am hoping to god I am ok. I am scared because normally when i MC i loose it on the time of my period (chemical MC) and it comes away with the bleed.
This time I am bleeding twice in a month, a normal heavy period and now this spotting.
I have a scan on Wednesday.
I am not looking forward to it.
If i loose this one, It will be my 4th, and it's hard to ever wonder If i am EVER going to be a mummy.

Sorry for the rant,

Has anyone else experienced this?
I don't know what to think.

I had a mc in August 2009 and two possible chemicals before I got pregnant with this so far, so good pregnancy -- I also have PCOS and an underactive thyroid, the former helped with metformin since September 2010 and the thyroid finally correctly medicated in May and I got pregnant naturally in June. I also lost weight, gentle exercise (walking/cycling) and healthy eating. We were pre-IVF, which discovered the thyroid problem and I also did acupunture to prepare for IVF, but got pregnant naturally last June and baby is due next month.

So, it is possible that you could get pregnant with a sticky, so I would suggest that you ask for the usual blood tests (and look into metformin as some studies suggest it can decrease the rate of mc (others disagree, of course....)) and just make sure that you are as healthy as possible (and try not to give up hope, as well....). Perhaps your GP can refer you to St. Mary's in London, where there is a recurrent mc clinic and I have heard some good things about it (We went to Zita West's clinic in London and did pre-IVF work at the Lister)...

I am so sorry that you are going through this, it is horrible and so very difficult, but you will survive....(altho, it is hard....)

best wishes
