I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I knew going into it that I would need another C-section (my first 2 were via c-section), but now that I am pregnant I am so terrified. I've been reading about all the things that can go wrong like a blood clot breaking during surgery, or hemorrhage after its all done! I'm so scared and worried that I'm not going to make it. I had 2 healthy, perfect births with no complications, so now I feel like this time how can I get so lucky?

Can anyone who had 3 C-sections please offer some reassurance? I know there must be a lot of people who have had 3 with no problem right?

I don't have personal experience, but my sister has had 3 c-sections. She also had a football sized tumor removed from her ovary when she was 18 years old, so she has had 4 abdominal surgeries in total. She had no issues with her c-sections, except that it took her longer to heal with her third one. She was pretty much all healed up after 4 weeks with her first two c-sections, and it took her about 6 weeks to heal with her third. Other than healing time she had no issues or complications with any of her surgeries.

I have no experience with cs but my best friend has had 4 (3 of them within 3 years!)

She was also terrified on the 4th about something going wrong but everything was perfect. I think they say 3 is the safe recommended amount of cs but her doctor said she is perfectly healthy and could have more and that he would advise her if anything was weakening or she should maybe stop.

i'm having my 3rd in November and to be honest haven't really thought much about. mainly because both my previous sections have been so different. 1st I lost a lot of blood second barely anything.

I'm getting ready to have my 3rd and for whatever reason I am also terrified. Although I don't know of what. I think I am more afraid of the anxiety from not feeling like your breathing after the spinal. I'll keep you posted how it goes :)

I don't think I personally could at remote vbac as I have already had 2 sections so the risk of rupture isn't worth it to me. I wish I had attempted it with my 2nd baby.
