UGH I hate being constipated:wacko:, it doesn't help my worrying about going. As crazy as it sounds I'm afraid to push too hard that it moght disloged the baby:cry:. Please tell me I'm not alone lol!

Your not alone, really your not. It feels silly to say it out loud but I'm the same, I'm sure baby is nice and safe up there but I definately don't like pushing too hard just in case... hahaha arent we silly? :P x x

Awww hun :hugs: you certainly aren't alone!! I have had constipation since week 6/7 :( and felt exactly the same! I didnt' wana strain too much! Go see your GP and u can get some lactulose prescribed! I'm not going to lie to you, it doesn't taste great, but it gets the bowels moving and there's certainly no pushing required  it's also safe to take whilst pregnant! It has been my new best mate for the past 5 wks!!! x

Aw you are certainly not alone hun, I am on baby number 4 and have had constipation in every pregnancy and even though I have been told by a doctor and midwifes that pushing when you are constipated wont harm the baby I honestly can't help but worry. I think it's natural to be concerned especially if you are straining hard. Constipation has got to be one of the worst pregnancy symptoms xx

Agreed!! Although this is my 1st, and I have been lucky in that I haven't had MS as it doesn't sound too great, the sore nipples and the constipation has been unbearable at times! I think I would have been able to handle a bit of MS alot better! x

I haven't had morning sickness in any of my pregnancy's but I have had constipation in every single one and at times have almost been in tears because of the pain. In my first pregnancy I got piles due to the straining and that was horrific although I got cream which eased the pain a lot. It definetely is not a pleasant experience having constipation, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! x

try fibregel - nothing actually goes into your system, it just adds more fibre - i had to use it with dd and also after i'd had her!

I had the opposite of constipation with Lindsey until about 10 wks - my version of ms, along with the nausea/heartburn, nice! It only started for me quite late, like 3rd tri... But this time I am TOTALLY constipated, so horrible - and as much as I'm gonna sound like a tv commercial, ACTIVIA yogourt is my BEST friend! Tastes a lot nicer than meds and perfectly safe - plus all I want to eat is milk products these days so it fits in nicely! :D
xxx
