so ladies if you are having a seat down meal what are you doing? are you mixing up your tables with people from both families or keeping the families separate? I just dont know what to do xxx

Im mixing them up slighty, but making sure they'll have interests/somebody they know on the table with them.

Mines caused me many headaches, wish I didnt even bother!

We are having a seating plan and all families are being seperate for safety reasons!! :haha:

I am going to mix them up so 1/2 & 1/2 on the table. That way people get to speak & meet each other.. I always find that when it is the same families on each table, you dont really get to mix/speak & get to know the other side of the family

thanx for the replies ladies, i know what you mean kim its giving me a headache, well i have plenty of time to think about it i guess, so we'l see xxx

We are just having the families seperate, they have all met each other once or twice but think it would be nicer for everyone who knows everyone to sit together iykwim xx

We are mixing them up - we have a table of both families with a couple of friends who are all older, a football fans table, a bike fan table, a young persons table etc. Everyone on each table will know at least 3 other people but they also get the chance to meet others. I went to a wedding last year and it was her family on one side, his on another and friends seperate and thats how it stayed all day, even into night no one from any other "clique" spoke to anyone else, eas horrible :(

i have mixed some of ours and left some just 1 entire family, i just kinda picked people that i knew would get one best with eachother mainly
