Seeing GP before Ob/Gyn.. am I being cheeky?

Out of sheer frustration with my, what i think is a, Progesterone deficiency ive booked a GP appt for next Tues, a week before my Ob/Gyn appt, am i being cheeky? ive wanted to do it other months and thought id piss my Gyn off but i don't care now, my GP never did the test and should have, if she does the blood test the results might be back for my appt is my thinking, a week later, what do you reckon? am i being cheeky not leaving it all in Ob/Gyn hands?

Doesn't the Day 21 test measure progesterone, though? That's what I was told when I had Day 21 bloods done, anyway...

I also thought that 21 day test was for progesterone as that was what was written on my lab form?!?! Is it a separate test?

At the end of the day if you get the result you need quicker then go for it x

i think they call it "day 21" as its 7dpo for people on average, 7dpo for me will be around Wed/Thurs i think, thats what im hoping anyway, doing it on cd21 for me would be like 1/2dpo, either way id prove my point that my luteal phase is too short

When I had my day 21s done I was told that if I did not get my period 7 days later that I should go back. Then again. Then every seven days until I actually get my period because, with irregular cycles day 21 is not always representative of a good result.

But yeah, this checks for progesterone, amongst other things.

Sometimes I don't even ovulate until Day 30...

If you go, tell them what day you are on, ie 2 dpo or whatever. They might tell you to go back the following week.

I have a short LP to, and mine was originaly done 1-2 dpo and it showed i didnt o, so we repeated it about 5-6 dpo and showed that i did o. So maybe test about the same time.

yeah ill see what she says, when i go next Tues ill be about 4/5dpo i think.
