September Stars

[Teeny Weeny]

I see a pattern here with these unsettled september stars. Last night Riley woke up at about 10.30pm and would not go back to sleep. So, he came into our bed and was awake about every hour or so crying and spitting out his dummy. He had teeth #5 & 6 coming so perhaps its that. I hope so as I am now sooo
I am still BF Riley but I am in the process of weaning him during the day. Today is day no. 3 and we are doing quite well. We still have the hand constantly down my top playing with my (.)(.) but I can deal with that! He tries for a feedy time but I say 'No, Juice' to which he shakes his head and gives into anyway!!! He doesn't seem to like cow or formula milk so any ideas on how to get him drinking it would be very helpful indeed.

On a more personal note,
LadyK does that mean you are now TTC?
Becs, sorry you have thrush. I am awaiting it as I had it the whole way through my pregnancy with Riley. I hate it, you just want to scratch yourself red raw.
YM, perhaps Kimi knows a change is coming hence the clinginess to LUke. I hope she settles for you again soon.
Emzy, I'm glad you had a lovely break away. When are you testing after your 2WW?
Blob, you mentioned a 'guest'?
LBB, I hope James water infection clears up soon.

Hi all, just wanted to share. Got Lilia weighed today and she's 19lb 14oz which I was quite shocked at, I thought she'd be 21lb + by now! It explains why she's still in 6-9 and 9-12 month clothes I suppose! She's gone up 1lb in 4 months.. Is this normal?!

Louise I'd say as long as she's eating normally and the HV doesn't seem worried, then it's fine! They are meant to slow down once they hit 1... Holly hasn't but they are meant to LOL x

Olivia is in a rear facing car seat still - I intend to keep her there for as long as possible. She is only just 17lbs now.

Quick hi from me as I am procrastinating on finishing my hippo project!

Can someone remind me who was collecting the bump and 1-yr (was it 1-yr or baby?) pics for the collage?
Finally got photos downloaded and have ambitions to do a LOT of editing this month. I need to put together four different albums as xmas gifts and this is not a task I can leave until the last minute! They are always massive projects!
Anyway, I have a few for the collage if it's not too late!

I did my xmas card last night through a print site I like. This is the one I chose:

I thought it was fun and kind of different. I used a family photo of us hiking in the mountains for the front and did their 9-photo format for the inside of the card, so that will help distant friends and family see what we've been up to all year!
I have so many different writing projects that I MUST get done. Plus I am applying for a few more that will branch me out a little. Wish me luck on my various bids. I'm suddenly all nervous and feel totally inadequate as I'm writing out my proposals. It's exciting, as this is very much work that would challenge me, but I am having a weird case of nerves. I think I may be feeling out of shape after being so home-and-baby-focused this last while.

I think I am counting myself as more of an NTNPer for the next while. Pretty sure I'm going to have to wean Tobe entirely to get my cycle back. Still no sign of it.
It would be kind of awesome to get pregnant again without having to have a period, though. With BFing the next baby, too, that would be like 3-4 years tampon-and-cramp free!! Woohoo! Sign me up!

Okay, MUST drag myself back to hippos. Interesting facts about hippos. Right. Focus. Here goes.

Paige is in front facing in my car and backward facing in Grants... She is so much more happier when she can see out.

Teeny- Grants trying to try he just wants it all the time and thinks telling me we should try for a baby now will make me want sex !!! ...lol We were hoping to start trying around xmas but we are leaving it in the hands of the gods xx

Louise- they start to slow down, last time i took Paige was months ago and she only put on a pound in 6 weeks and they said she will slow down even more.. you should be able to see the graph in her red book so you know if she is on track... Girls at baby group said Paige is tall but diddy... all the other babies are bigger than her... I really should get her weighed ..... i wouldnt worry honey the HV would have said if there was a problem, im expecting Paige to be about 23lbs so interested to find out now x

BTP- Ouch !!! My nipples hurt just reading that...lol We have a mate coming to put up the wall as soon as i get paid... im so excited !!!! I may redecorate and add pink to her bedroom.... x

Evening lovely ladies, there's been lots of chat in here today!!!

Eeek Emzy I can't believe it's test day for you this week if no AF signs! How exciting!! And I know it was embarrassing, but Holly's poo explosion made me laugh!!! Especially the "Shit 'appens" bit!! x

Weight wise, Sam is a DOBBER!! He's well over 24lbs I think, as he was almost that 3 weeks before he was 1. But having said that, my Dad said today that he thinks he's really starting to slim out and shoot up. More of a toddler really.

YM, can't believe you're 38 weeks already, can't wait to see pics of Pip!!! x

Boony, you've definitely got your hands full!! (and your boobs!!). I think it's a great feeling, overwhelming at times, but lovely to have these kids who are all yours!! Lovely! Give your gorgeous girl an extra big snuggle!! xx

Well, I am knackered. Been shopping today for last minute work stuff. Got Sam measured for shoes - size 5, so they don't do cruisers in massive bruiser sizes!! So he's got some gorgeous little grey and blue shoes with a dino on them, but the poor lad can't walk in them, they're like boats on the ends of his legs ha ha!!! He'll get used to them, he's much happier just in his socks!!
All my bags are packed for tomorrow..... kids school bags including dinner monies and fruit, my swimming bags, Sam's nappy bag for Nana's, and my new work "handbag"!! Have even got new earrings in, and my new work clothes all laid out. Preparation is key, I feel!! Or am I just a bit paranoid?! I have had some lovely texts and phone calls from people at work today, saying they're looking forward to tomorrow, so that does make me feel slightly better. I just feel it's the end of an era in a way, my spending time with Sammy and doing the school runs with the big lads. Jack's first full day at school tomorrow, so a big day all round.

we did very well with ofsted i didnt end up going in as i think the senior nursery nurse who is James godmother wanted the challenge and as she said if i was abroad she wouldnt be able to ring me x

Lady k - well if you are NTNP I'm going to have to start too. Dh Friday was trying to persuade but I stuck to my guns but the more closer we get to new year the more I think I can't be bothered preventing. I would love another September baby.

Louise JJ was third youngest star but is the heaviest he's currently 26lbs !! Gulp! He's still in his rearward facing seat as he's below 13kg limit. His weight gain has slowed alot over the past couple of months . Did the hv measure her length today? I was told to ask when I next go to get him weighed.

YM - eeekkk! Hope little pip arrives soon.

JJ woke at 5.30 this morning but calpol settled him. Hoping for another good night tonight fxd

For those with boys .... Might be a silly question but do they constantly fiddle with their willy? Everytime I change his nappy or in the bath he's constantly holding and tugging his 'bits' ... Is this normal or could it be irritated or something?

Jelly no she didn't measure her, to be honest I found outlast minute that the hv was on camp so went but didn't have my book and she wasn't happy that I didn't have it! She mentioned about coming out to me or making another appointment because if it so presume she'll measure her then..

Asher good luck for tomorrow! I've been looking at jobs online and even thatis making me feel funny about leaving Lilia! Was thinking maybe to aim for the moon and go for the teaching and learning assessor at the Medway council, an expert innteaching and learning that goes into schools to advise and observe etc... I was rated outstanding at ofsted so could possibly have a chance but not sure I want the massive pressure... But the 70k salary would suit me just fine!!

Wayne came home from work today saying he's been asked to gomto afghan in sept next year as brigade resa... Hmmm good career wise as it's normally a wo2 job, but we were aiming to start ttc in the new year.. That would be deja vu in that we'd have a new baby possibly and he'd be buttering off again!

Jelly- im still thinking xmas time, if i have another girl not only can i reuse all the clothes (which will be for the correct season) but i can buy them presents they can share if they share roughly the same birthday... im so tight..lol....But i am still 99% its going to be a boy so that goes my plan out of the window but that 1% chance and the money ill save is enough to try for another September baby.Jake used to play with his willy all the time, i dont think boys ever grow out of that habit to be honest lol x

LBB- do you know what the plan is called or do they cap all their contracts? x
