Seriously confused about my tax credit renewal notice!

I recieved a provisional award notice through the post today, dated 27th July and on it it said I need to return my declaration to them no later then the 31st July! I renewed it over the phone a couple of weeks ago though so I thought you didn't need to send that in aswell :shrug:

Has anyone else had the same thing? I'm stumped :(

I obviously can't send it back by that date now as it's the 2nd August :dohh:
Also, when I renewed over the phone she didn't tell me to send it in aswell either, she just said it was done and to wait for my confirmation :/

Did you confirm the actual amounts you received from work/benefits for the year 2010-2011? And did you give estimates or actual income for the year 2011-2012? If so then you don't need to send in your forms as the phone call would suffice. They do normally tell you there's no need to send in your form if you do it on the phone but I guess it depends on how good the advisor is that you speak to.

I did give them actual amounts, yes, for 2010/11 and 2011/12. Gave them the estimates for 2012/13.. I supose I'll have to ring them and find out whats going on won't I before they stop my payments! I threw the actual declaration out as I did it over the phone, I just automatically assumed I no longer needed it :dohh:
