Sex in IVF Cycle

Girls.. are there any dos and dont about having sex during your IVF cycle... is it ok if we still up to 3 days before egg collection?? any advice. My FS did not say anything but i have read different opinions...

I don't think anyone ever said anything to us about abstaining or otherwise during our cycle. Though I can't honestly remember feeling too randy it that point. I think I was feeling a bit too uncomfortable and bloated. We decided to abstain during 2ww and until we'd had first scan and that was the hard bit.

My FC said no sex after ET. But honestly hun, i was so unconfortable and bloated and was not in the mood. But yeah, I was told its ok before ET. And the reason they say no after ET is to stop a Urinary Tract Infection. Give the embryo the best chance possible. Good luck

What about abstinance for oh's contribution...? I think we were told he'd have to abstain for 3 days before ec due to poor count.

If you can have sex just before egg collection then your a better woman than me..i felt so bloated and was also (TMI alert) ....contsitpated!! There was no way i could fit anything else in down there hahaha xx
