Sharp shooting pains in ovary after trigger? - EC tomorrow morning

Hi ladies

I did my trigger injection nearly 24 hours ago and have my egg collection for IVF tomorrow morning. I'm quite worried because my ovaries have been hurting ever since but in the past couple of hours I've having sharp, shooting pains in my right ovary. I only have 3 follies on that side as I haven't responded well but wondered if this is normal? Has anyone else had this before EC?? I'm a bit worried....

Hi BabyChristie,

Here's to wishing you a good Egg Collection tomorrow. Don't worry about the sharp pains. The trigger shot will push your eggs to mature just in time for your egg collection (about 36.5 hours after trigger shot). I felt the same thing too, sharp pains and tightening on both sides.

Thanks Janice, that makes me feel lots better. Really strange pains but I guess all normal. Only 12 hours to go....

I had the EXACT SAME THING! Wow. I had my trigger shot friday 7/16 at 9:30p and had sharp twinges in the ovary the evening of 7/17 with IUI the morning of 7/18. My concern was that I o'd too early? This is my first IUI so wasn't sure what to expect.
