Shaving is getting so hard for me. I cant even see down there anymore! My fiancé doesn't want to help because he says it doesn't look bad and I look fine, but come on... I feel so uncomfortable with hair down there and knowing that now im in third tri anything can happen, the last thing I want is to have to open my legs at a hospital with all that down there :haha: Any of you ladies find any other ways to shave a little easier? I have been just feeling for hair and trying my best to get it all. It must look crazy down there! :haha:

I'm starting to struggle now - can we use creams like Veet? Thats how I'd normally tackle down there but havent since getting pregnant. I have a battery shaver (I cant do as much damage with that!) and just feel my way round but I'd like to have a proper tidy up down there as OH is no help at all!

I blindly gave it half an effort until I got an ingrown hair on my bikini line and since then I'm like forget it. Not worth knicking something either. No matter how bad you think it is, I'm sure the doc has seen worse. That's what i tell myself. :haha:

I don't know if we can use creams or not. I tried using those on my legs before and it didn't work for me at all :nope: I also have one of those handheld battery powered shavers but mine sucks. I don't know why but it doesn't work as well as I would like it. I think I might have to end up buying a mirror! :haha:

Gosh I gave up on this weeks and weeks ago, LOL.
I'm ashamed to say that I even have yeti legs! :haha:
I'll have a tidy up soon though...honest...!!! Haha.

Go & get a wax done. I tried shaving once & it is horrendous, the hair grows back quickly, spikey & thick & you get horrible rashes where your underwear rubs on the skin plus in grown hairs. Waxing is pretty fast & in no way as painful as childbirth will be!

I've been doing it best I can without seeing! Looked in mirror otherday though after and was very patchy! glamorous!

Soooo getting this lol I try to do it in the bath and lean forward but hold me bump up with one hand and razor in other or lie back and put my knee up on the side and change sides etc but even this is getting difficult now! What about stand or sitting in front of a mirror with a towel and bowl of water next u? Xx

YEp, I've been going same route as Sarah... regular shaver caused me tons of bumps because more stuff down there rubs now! Belly sits on my legs, etc. Not a perfect job, but at least 'trying' which is all I want the nurses to think at this point... that I didn't totally let myself go at least!

I did my bikini line blindly the other day and DH confirmed it was equal! DH does the 'underneath' with a trimmer every couple of months for me. (he did that before pregnancy though)

...Why is it that everybody else's OH helps them out, whilst mine runs a mile if I ask him? He's already done so much DIY and gardening that he's actually run out of standard diversionary tactics and has been whittering on about the state of the septic tank.

Is defuzzing my foo that horrendous a prospect? :(

I have a feeling that if I ask him again he'll try and re-enlist (he's recently retired from the British Army) and volunteer for a tour somewhere mountainous and sandy...

On the plus side I *think* I found a waxer in Norwich (a bit of a trip - but hey) that specialises in preggy women. He's already agreed to drive me (usually he whinges like a b*tch if I ask for a lift anywhere) - so all I need to do is book it.

My skin doesn't react well to waxing otherwise I'd go that route! :(

Doesn't react well to shaving either at the tops of my legs, boo!

oh i remember this dilemma all too well lol. i tried veet or nair whichever and it burned my lady bits like hell so i stuck to shaving. every few weeks i would sit in the shower on the side of the tub and shave by feeling around. it was the easiest way to do it, for me anyways. it would take me about 45 in the shower but the end result was worth it.

OMG I thought it was just me! Last time I tried shaving I got the worst ingrown hair and it STILL hasn't seemed to completely surface yet as I can still pop it and I'm at a loss for what to do  Maybe I'll get a wax before my DD, but SO not attempting to shave again until I can see and lean over without going numb!

I use a mirror to tidy up but it's still hard. I'm not too concerned tho bc my cousin is a nurse and told me that they could care less what we have down there. she said they only gossip about stuff when it's really really wierd, and hair is not weird. LOL

I've been trying to shave blindly with an electric shaver, then check it in the mirror... it's not going to well. I haven't asked OH for assistance yet, but I might...

If you're in norwich, make an appointment with Amanda at the wax bar, she's great. She uses a wrap wax, so the wax dries, and she pulls that off, doesn't have to use other bits to get the wax off, hurts a lot less and doesn't leave you as red! I go every 4 weeks for my eyebrows, and when I'm feeling brave for down there!! She waxed me last time I was pregnant, and I imagine I'll make an appointment in the next week or two. She's near the Belgian monk/tesco metro near the market x

BiB....

... Somehow that's not comforting.

So far I can still see all the goods to shave but I am definitely going to get a good wax done towards the end! You don't need to go see someone who's "specialized" in waxing pregnant people, it's all the same. Usually it's just a way to charge more :(

Definitely try a mirror down there, like the ones that stick to the walls in a shower or hair removal creams are safe but remember your skin might not react the same was as before being pregnant so do a test area :)

Oddly mine isn't growing that fast but I can still feel it there and its uncomfortable so I've literally just come out of the bathroom after a what can only be described as a traumatic experience trying to shave sprawled on the bathroom floor in various positions but its no use anymore!!! I give up! I ended up knicking myself with the electric razor right on my bloody labia and I started freaking out as I thought it was coming from inside coz it just wouldn't stop bloody bleeding!!! I ended up lead on te floor for 15 mins with my legs eleviated on the toilet to try decrease the blood flow to stop the blood pouring out! On another note I've just spent some of that time checking it out with the mirror and good god my vagina got ugly!!!! It's swollen, purple, I have veins sticking out everywhere and I swear it was growling back at me in the mirror full of anger!!!!
