Shea Ireland

I like Shea, it is on my boys name short list - I'm in the UK though and it's first and foremost an Irish male name in this part of the world - never heard it on a girl round here.

I love the name and had it on a short list when my little girl was born :) I'm from Ireland and have come across Shea/Shay being used for both boys and girls.

I like Ireland, not too sure about Shea. I read it as "Sheer" Ireland so it kind of sounds weird to me.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I love to hear your opinions from across the pond! We are in the US and travel often to Ireland as we have family there and was wondering how predominantly male the name Shea was in your country. I have only met male Shea's here too but we love unisex names. Thanks again :)
