My 6-week-old sometimes sleeps for up to 7 hours at night! I love it, but is she old enough? If she decides to sleep that long, should I just let her, or should I wake her at the 4-5 hour mark to nurse still?

As long as she's gaining weight it's fine to let her sleep. Enjoy!

If she is a healthy weight let her sleep. My LO did 9 hours last night.....love it. He also dropped to 1 night feed around 6 weeks also.....enjoy cause you dont know when it will end.

My lo was in scbu for two weeks when he was born and one of his problems was that he wasn't gaining weight. As soon as he started to gain it out community nurse told me to stop walking him for night feeds so that we could get some sleep. I would say if they aren't worried about weight then I wouldn't worry about waking them

As long as she is gaining, let her sleep :)

I actually went to weigh my little one yesterday and asked the nurse the same question. She told me to never wake a sleeping baby unless the baby isn't gaining weight or there is a medical issue.

Thanks guys :) She's been gaining weight fine so that's what I've been leaning towards. She only does a stint like that about once a week (usually that same part of the night she gets 4-5 hrs straight). Can't wait until it becomes the routine!
