Ok so sophias dad turned up last week a couple days before her b day, he turned up with just a card sed he had no money last week but want me and sophia to come shopping with him this friday to get her some late birthday presents, I said yes problem is the next day I got her appt for her one year jabs on exactly the same day, now I dont know whether to change the date for her jabs in hope that FOB doesnt cancel or tell him we cant go shopping, which I know if I cancel with him my LO wont get anything at all. Before anyone asks I have no idea why he wants us to go shopping together, my mum said she thinks he wants to see sophias reaction to things before he buys them but I dunno. Anyway which one should I cancel??

Well if it were me I would cancel FOB. Her jabs are more important than some toys he is gonna buy. Arrange another day and if he dont want to then just shows what kind of person he is.

I would personally stick with the jabs. I can understand why you want to cancel them as your trying your hardest to get him involved in her life.. it shouldn't have to be like that though and if he can't accept the fact your daughter needs her jabs 1st and he won't rearrange the shopping trip then your both better off without. + theres the fact he could let u down once you've cancelled the jabs as he hasn't exactly been reliable so far has he.

I guess he wants to take you both shopping so he can find out from you etc what shes into and what u've already got so he doesn't buy the same.. maybe? I don't know. xx

Thanks girls I think I will try an rearrange with him, sophia hates going shopping anyway, she prefers everything delivered to the door so she can play with it straight away lmao x

 think she has it right.. :)

Hi, can you not do both?? Your lo, you or FOB won't miss out then and it might distract her if she doesn't feel 100% after jabs (depending on time obv.!!)...just an idea! :-) x

Unfortuniatly not her dad wont get down here until 1pm, her jabs are at 3, it takes half hour each way to get to where he wants to go shopping so we just wouldnt have the time, else I would do both but hes to lazy to get up and come down here earlier x

Oh that makes sense then!! :-). Personally l would look into moving jabs, only be a day or two, but that is mainly because l am petty and would like to prove that l tried...heehee. Not sure how active a Dad he is though xxx

Hes not an active dad theres a good chance he would cancel anyway, hes seens her less than 20 times in a year and couldnt even be bothered to come see her when she was born and really ill in hospital, I have to work hard to get him to see her, last week was the first time he has seen her in 5 months. He would rather spend time with his gf and her daughter who isnt his x

I just spoke to him he said he didnt get paid as much as he though he would, so wants to come see her and give me some money for her instead and he wants to comme to the drs with us while she has her jabs aswell which is a first, just hoping he actually does it now and that maybe hes gunna start showing a bit more interest x
