Hey Girls,
I'm sure most of you know my story but i'm talking about clomid.
As you know i was on 50mcg and ended up hyperstimualted. I've been off it now for 2 months and i'm not ovulating with out it. I'm trying to bring my appointment forward to get things sorted out. Should i ask to go back on clomid?

Hi

Can they monitor better to prevent it happening again. I would leave it up to the so called experts as you don't want to put your health at risk. I was on clomid for six months no luck going on IUI now perhaps you might be offered an alternative. xx

It really is a personal decision that I am actually struggling with at the moment myself. I got overstimulated from follistim injections in June and was in such severe pain I thought I was going to end up in the hospital.

I hope it all works out for you:hugs:

Did they monitor while you were on the Clomid?

Is there another drug??? Or, I guess Clomid is the "mildest". Do they know why you aren't ovulating on your own??? I would go back and see if there is something else, and then if there isn't, that would be entirely up to you. Could you do 25mg (cut the pill in half) lol! Sorry I don't have any additional information hon.

If it were me, and they were going to guarantee better monitoring to catch on to over stimulating, then I'd probably give it another go. If they won't monitor then I'd ask for an alternative solution.

Good luck

well when i was on it before i wasn't monitored at all. I ended up in such pain i put on 5lbs and was so bloated i was in agony, i couldn't hardly move. I called NHS direct as my gynea wouldn't see me urgnely and my GP was on leave they said i needed an urgent scan as hyperstimulation was life threatening when severe. So i was rushed to A&E who did nothing but tell me i wasn't pregnant!
Got sent out with anti biotics i didn't need
Told my GP's secretary the following day, as AF arrived they said my body had returned to normal so to carry on with treatment but she was sending me for a scan that month which was when we found out i was hyperstimulated.
So the Gynea did nothing to help or prevent it. If it wasn't for my GP i'd have been in trouble!

 Im starting my Clomid 150mg tonight CD5 and i have a scan booked for CD12 with my gyni... do not let them fob you off... Demand help and assistance and i would strongly recomend them monitor you if on 50mg you hyperstimulated.....

I concur. Don't accept anything less than close monitoring unless they can give you a better alternative. Good luck and keep us posted!

thanks girls you're the best. i'm feeling ready to take them all on i'm not takeing no crap this time!
Bring on the 19th!
