Hello

I was just wondering what would require a change from first infant milk to hungry baby? Would it be a factor of amount of time between feeds or amount being taken?

Has anybody got any examples of when there HV has said to move milk or have decided to move based on a certain factor themselves?

Sorry if this has already been made a thread previously.

Thanks

The HV visitor advised us to try hungry baby as Jack was taking 50 oz of milk a day- and putting on ALOT of weight. It definitely helped, even though we actually only gave him every other bottle as hungry baby, because we didn't want him to get constipated.

I am not sure how old your LO is but even though it says suitable from birth they don't usually advise them to go on it until they are at least 3 months old as its is alot harder to digest than normal formula.

I switched Ava over, after some advice on here, because she would take a 5oz bottle, and be hungry again in about 1.5-2 hours, but wouldn't take 6oz.
Now we've made the switch she's taking 6oz bottles and is still only going 2.5 hours at the longest! Lol.

I've changed to hungry milk, my LO is taking 5oz and screaming for another feed an hour and half later. My HV said not to use hungry milk as it sits in their tummy and can be hard for them to pass, but she is giving 3 - 4 dirty nappies a day which is more than I was getting before. But she does seem to be more unsettled and spends most of her time awake screaming, I'm hoping it's not the milk as she is definatley going much longer between feeds.
