It certainly makes a relationship a lot more difficult when one of the partners has a child from a previous relation. I suppose it would be different if she lived with you and that way you could take more part in her life. I agree you need to talk, and both of you have to give a lot, agree on things and reach a compromise.

it always will be a different story, it is for us after almost 7 years, thats why compromise from u both is needed....
I really hope things work out for a best,
I do think that the title of ur thread is what has got peoples backs up (for want of a better phrase), if u are planning ur baby it needs to be some sort of stable environment...

PS: if the debts are in two persons names then the other person should also be paying these off, dunno if this is happening, but if it isn't u need to get that sorted

I mean this in the least disrespectful way possible, but if you are asking people on an internet forum if you and your partner should try for a baby instead of discussing it with your partner and coming to a decision together, chances are it's probably not the right time.
