Anyone had bub get stuck on previous preg
My little guy got stuck and ended up with a stroke
He has epilepsy, cerebral palsy and autism.
I'm just wondering if id be mad to not push for a section this time.
In a normal preg there is a .5% chance of it happening
In my case with a prev one it goes up to 10-15%

Having said that obvs recovery be better with vag birth.
Plus my ds cant walk
So not being able to lift him fir a few weeks after c section
Would be horrible
But Oh would stay home with us for 4-5 weeks.
Any one with previous shoulder dystocia ( prob spelt wrong :))
Or any advice

I haven't met my consultant yet.
Will next week.
Obvs ill talk to him too
But trying to sort it out in my head a bit now
Xx

Posted in second tri board too
Since I'm in second tri at the mo

My daughter got shoulder dystocia but I also suffered with a 4th degree tare as a result of her getting stuck. They got to the last manoeuvre that they can do before they take you to theatre to get her out. She was stuck for 2 minutes. We were exceptionally lucky and she suffered no injuries as a result of her birth. I on the other hand did! I am now 7 months pregnant and my DD turned 1 in May this year. I am going to have a section due to the risks of tearing again BUT even if I hadn't tore I don't know if I would be able to risk the baby getting stuck again. Even though the chances aren't that high for me i would be petrified when I was in labour that it would happen again. I think it's a really personal decision to make. Good luck in what you decide. X

Thanks hon
Sorry u got hurt but glad ur dd is ok xx
Hugs x
I don't really think I can take the chance
Just not looking forward to the c section recovery
And hoping I don't hve to work too hard to convince my Dr
Thanks so much for ur response
Hope all goes great for u this time xx

I'm not looking forward to the recovery either but I figure at least I can plan for it and I've come to peace with my decision now. You shouldn't have to convince your doctor at all you've had a horrific time. At least with a planned section you can sort out help for you with your eldest and also planned sections are supposed to be a little easier than an emergency one. X

I'm already planning :)
Oh can take time off.
I'll hve meals made and house cleaned before it
Cos ill know date.
And all offers off help will be accepted
I usually decline :)
Thanks a mil hon xx
Hope all goes great for u xx
I've heard that recovery from planned is heaps better.
Cod u don't hve labour to recover from too

Hi, my first and second were shoulder dystocias, the doctors said the chances were slim after my first. My babies were fine but I tore quite bad so with my third I had a planned section. It went amazingly took all the worry away about the baby being too big etc. My recovery was smooth and very quick. The day after was definitely the worst just make sure you keep taking the painkillers even if you feel ok. I was doing normal activities a week later just a little slower lol , I had my section on Friday and did the school run on Monday 😊

Thanks a mil kirski.
Very helpful to me.
Lovely to hear a great recovery too .
Thanks x
