(or pics of glasses you like :))
I'm getting glasses for the first time in my life and have no clue what to pick... I'm looking in fashion magazines and of course they don't have any pics of models with them... I've never really paid attention to them before so I don't know where to start. I can't even tell the difference between men's and women's on the shelf! :dohh:
:flower:

I've been wearing glasses since I was 12/13... so I'm pretty used to picking out frames every few years.. I've had some really bad harry potter looking ones! But I think I've got ones that suit my face lovely...
Also don't just have black.. sometimes black with an odd colour is very nice to have! I had red and black once.

here is a pic of me n my glasses.

Sorry my friend sort of repainted over the picture because it was blurry.. but you get the idea... my god I look 15 still! haha

geeky frames are realy cute right now! Here are some I like.

Hope this helps! All I can say is trial and error.. there are many frames to try.. so try as many as you can on! Can be a laugh! Trust me... I put on all the granny frames haha!

Ooh those all look good, thanks! I actually like the ones you have, they really suit your face!

I have two pair, plain black framed and a designer pair with little jewels on. Both are broken so I'm blind until my next eye test as I can't afford to get them fixed

I love all of these! You guys look so good in them! ....it makes me a little less self conscious to be getting them

I desperately need new glasses as DD has snapped the arm off my only pair that's comfortable (I have an acrylic thick framed pair but its too tight and gives me a headache) and I glued it back on but its too loose and moves too much on my face.

I buy my glasses online for cheap so usually end up buying 3-4 pairs for $50-60 total. Just need to actually take the time to choose some frames.

This is the only picture I can find of me and its horrible

your very welcome x
I tend to think of them as an accessory rather then stopping me being blind LOL

I've got 4 current pairs

https://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/modern/fcuk-60/# in burgendy
https://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/modern/jc-43/ in brown (wear these most often absolute favourite pair)
https://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/fashion/red-or-dead-48/ in black and in purple

I don't suit full frames at all, it does take a while to work out what ones suit your face though :flower:

@lullaby - Thats a good idea linking them!!!! https://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/fashion/mands/ this is mine c: (in black)

you all look lovely in your glasses i dont suit glasses and feel silly so im currently paying a small fortune in daily disposible contact lenses lol

Liesje - once you've tried lots of styles, go to Clearly Contacts site - they have a zillion options and they are the cheapest I have found in Canada. They are always having deals and promos. And while I have been very happy with my choices, the two occasions that I ordered frames that didn't fit me well, it was a no-hassle return. Really easy. They are a fraction of the price in a retail outlet, so you can afford a few pairs!

I buy mine from zenni optical for $7-20/pair.

That's great, thank you!
Silly question, but how does ordering them from online work? Do you send them the prescription or is it just the frames you're ordering?

The site I use only does the whole glasses. I don't think they sell the frames by themselves.

You will have all of the measurements on your prescription. You plug them in and they make the glasses to order for you that way.
The customer service has been stellar for me. They will talk you through the whole thing, if need be. It is a fraction of the cost of a retail store. I find those places to be such rip-off joints that I won't even bother with them anymore.

Here is me in my glasses, I've had them for about 3.5 years now...I'm supposed to wear them all the time but they bug me so I pretty much only wear them for reading and driving,
