Hey, I haven't posted on this forum since my baby boy was born in January! But I was just wondering if anyone had any advice, and if any of you Single mums work, either from home or in a full time job?

I've just had the opportunity to work from home, pretty much with any hours that suit me, but i'm still finding it difficult to have time to do the work. I've been doing it for about a week now, and its great so far, I really enjoy it, but my son is very demanding and clingy at the moment, and I end up doing all the work at like 8pm-11pm and have no time to myself!

How are you coping? Do you work whilst your children are with you or do you put them in nursery? How can I distract my son whilst I work? I feel guilty working whilst he's sitting playing on the floor, but I need to get back on my feet and start earning money!

I've done both. I work outside the home as a supply teacher, but I also have a work at home gig on the side. I do most of the work when she's asleep. I also find it hard to get things done when she's awake.

I had to put my girl with a childminder whilst I worked full time. Was difficult and I missed her like mad, but I needed money to keep us alive so it had to be done xx

I work part time. I love it, it's my 'me' time.

LO is at school now, but has to go to the breakfast club in the mornings. Before, she went to nursery full time x

I work part time. (16 hours over 4 days) my mum or his dad have Elijah 3 days and he goes to nursery for 2 days, one of those days I'm at work and one im off so I get a few hours of time to myself which is luxurious!!!! I only do 4 hour shifts which I like. Xx

I work part-time, 9am - 1pm. I went back when youngest was 8months and eldest 2. It's ridiculously hard but has to be done so that we can have a nice life. My LOs go to nursery while I work. Mainly we get up, get ready for work/nursery, come home and play etc. and cook, clean, get kiddies ready for bedtime then once they are in bed I do the final cleaning up, a shower and getting ready for the next morning and then have half an hour or an hour to myself before the next day. Some days I feel ready to collapse other times it's easier.
