I just have the basic tommy tippee one which says from 4month.
It doesn't have a valve or anything to control the amount coming out which I believe is best in terms of weaning them away from a bottle around 12month but I'm not sure whether you would want one that controls the amount going in his mouth with him being so young. Maybe try without first as they are only about £1.50 and I'm sure you will use it at some point if you find it's not right for now.
I use the tommy tippee one too, had tried other but this is her favourite, easy for babies to hold and drink from but she also loves to pour water everywhere with it!
We use the Nuby 4+ month ones with the rubber spout. It took her a while to get the hang of it but she drinks well from it now. She also does well with the Sassy Grow Up Cup, it's totally different, no spout. They are both no-spill.
The nuk learner cup with non spill spout.
My boys been drinking water from it since 10 weeks, all my friends I've recommended it too have agreed how good it is x
tommee tippee plastic cup with two handles by far. i got mine free from my health visitor. my son loves it. iv never used a non spill valve thing. they quickly get than hang of not spilling it. plus the tommee tippee one is easier to clean as there is only two parts to it. u can get ones without handles too and the spout folds down to stop it leaking in your bag x
