Hiya hun, it simply clips on around you and can be worn on your front or on your back. The cover attaches over it if you want to wear it when it's cold It works just fine and distributes the weight well so that it doesn't make your back hurt or anything, my Evie just doesn't seem to like any kind of carrier lol otherwise I'd have kept it If you need any other info I still have the little info booklet that came with it (which I will post with it) which I can dig out xxx
