I'm looking to get another sling, I've already got a ring sling, but find it uncomfortable as it's only on one shoulder. So I'm looking at getting a wraparound sling. I've been looking at these two - https://www.naturalmothering.co.uk/...age=product_info&cPath=33_3_37&products_id=72

I'd like a didymos one but they're too expensive. What do people think?

I have a close baby carrier, and it's perfect. It was featured on chanel 4s bringing up baby to represent the conuum concept... It goes on both shoulders, holds baby really close to you, and right next to you with no material in between baby and you so it's as if you're cuddling them, but you have your hands free :) It also disperses the weight really well so you can barely feel you're carrying them. It's quality, baby loves it, and you can pick them up for about £40.

I was looking into this recently as well, as Juleika gets heavier and the pouch slings we have are only for one shoulder.

I decided to get a Mei Tei.

I'm not the person for complicated folding etc...

Mei Tei's are supposed to be good for their age as well, regarding body posture and carrying positions :hi:

they look like this:

Oh it's really easy. You're not being ******ed, though; I thought it looked really complex, until I tried on my mothers one and fell in love with it!

It's a simple sling that crosses over (already threaded, no threading or folding neaded!) but I'll probably really confuse you by trying to explain how it works - you need to try it out to realise how good and easy it is really. You pop the sling on (arms in the holes, cross with slogan at the back...) then you hold your baby over the outside strap and put its left foot through the whole on that side, then you move baby over to the other strap and put the right foot through the right hole. When baby is in position (with the feet in the holes and the material under their bottom) you unfold the inner strap and then the outer strap, and pull the threads at the bottom so that baby is completely wrapped tightly to you - Just as like being cuddled :D Anna would sleep for hours in this position...

These are the instructions: https://www.closebabycarrier.com/images/close_instructions.pdf Baby can be worn either sitting upright in the sling, or laying down (pouch-style) for nursing :) FANTASTIC sling in my experience. Love it and couldn't live without it.

wow mickey~ those look nice. I'm not at an age where I have to worry about that yet as a ring sling does fine but that looks like it would be much better on the back and they have gorgeous fabric.

marley i love those! everyone has them here where i live.

It really is - And Anna loves it, since she has been in it since we got out of hospital it feels so natural! She snuggles right in as soon as I put her in it; If ever I can't settle her, and MrBum can't either, we just put her in her sling and she snuggles in and goes to sleep - In fact sometimes I think that what is wrong with her is just that she wanted to be in there! lol

I'd reccomend this sling to anyone. All the mommies I know who has one love it...
