Hi, so I'm having Irish twins (mad I know) hehe- There is going to be just under 12 month between births.... How quickly am I expecting this one to be? I'm a little worried as she is still breech and I'm 35 weeks!
I had a baby due 24th October 2013 and a baby due this year 27th October 2014 so there will be about 12 months(or under, maybe) between mine too! I'd also like to know about labour experiences :-D
I had 3 years between my babies but my labour reduced quite a bit, first was 4 hours, second was about an hour.

Wow 1 hour hope I'm not that quick, hospital is almost an hour away and she is breech!!

Yeah this was why I planned a home birth but the MW didn't even turn up on time, was me and hubby alone! All was fine though, I knew I was going to be quick but don't worry I don't think it's normal to be that quick! I had to travel an hour for my 4 hour labour and it was fine. Hope baby turns for you.
There's 9.5 months between my 2 & 3, #2 was 9hrs from my waters breaking to delivery and #3 was 30hrs![]()
Im hoping for a shorter labour with my 22 month age gap. 1st labour was about 21 hrs from first contraction. Iv never heard the expression Irish twins before?
I think Irish twins means two children with the same parents born within a year of each other, I thought it was to do with the school year though, so if you had a baby born in September and then a sibling before August of the next year it would mean they were in the same school year but not twins. I have no idea why that is Irish though lol.

It is meant to be a derogatory term used to describe irish catholics as they apparently have so many children close together.
or so Mr. Google tells me

Ah ok, I've never heard it used in a nasty way, just a jovial way of saying kids born close togetherbut I will remember that!
