Smells like bleach down there.. :/

Okay so the past couple of days when I got to the bathroom and pull my undies down all I smell is a strong bleach smell... Today I decided to put my nose a lil closer to my undies (gross I know) and well it literally burned my nose when i smelled it? I'm 12wks 3 days (ignore ticker) is this normal or you think something bad?

Ambniotic fluid smells like bleach. U should get checked asap!

You sure it smells like bleach and not ammonia? If you leak a little when you sneeze, etc... your pee could be strong enough to smell like ammonia when your underwear dries.

As for amniotic fluid smelling like bleach..... I've never heard that. It's usually compared to a smell of wet hay/straw, and both times when my water broke it was a very mild, almost sweet smell. Certainly not a bleach smell that would burn my nose. That honestly sounds more to me like urine leakage that has dried (and don't feel bad... the joys of pregnancy!)

Yeah, sounds more like wee to me too. Always get checked if youre worried though.

It sounds like pee to me. When I leak pee it tends to get very ammonia like strong. I just change my pad.

Yep. Definitely sounds like pee. Try wearing a pad or liner, and see what color you get and how much you get.

I had this exact thing happen to me around 13 weeks. I thought something was wrong with the baby or I was leaking fluids. I came to find out that it was urine. When I coughed, laughed or moved too fast I would wee a little. It still happens now, but I'm much more aware of it. Fortunately or should I say unfortunately, now it's much more obvious than it was before.

I had this start at the same sort of time as you. As I've come to find out- Its urine, I've partially lost control of my bladder. Lovely!! I just wear a pad, do lots of pelvic floor exercises and try not to sneeze hehe x

I wish I could attempt to not sneeze. I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I've noticed that I sneeze A LOT more while pregnant than when not pregnant. So embarrassing! Hubby and family all know what's going on when they hear a sneeze followed by my yelling "DAMMIT".
