Snacking in feeds and keeping me up all night!!

since baby has been on formula he seems to be snacking and falling asleep during feeds, which means hes up basically every hour if he hasnt drunk a full bottle! i cannot breast feed due to a bleed to the boob but i just dont know how i can try and get him to drink a full bottle, he will do it during the day but as soon as it comes to the night he wont settle at all, hes on infocol for wind etc, but still this doesnt help as much..

im lacking sleep and i feel terrible in the morning, today and last night he was a little better, hes woke up every 3 hours for a feed and hes been as good as gold, but i just dont know how i can get him to settle and do this of a night without dropping off to sleep and waking up again in an hour.

Hi hun, did u try offering him his night feed a bit earlier than usual? Like 1 hour before his bedtime to make sure he takes a full feed before sleeping. Then you can use a dummy to settle him if he needs a comfort suck to sleep & use the dummy if he wakes up at night instead of offering a feed. It sound like he's looking for comfort sucks not feeds when he's waking up. HTH xx

we had this problem ....basically my alfies quite lazy lol....hell wake up hungryhave about 60 mls get his wind up and fall asleep..so now what we do is change his nappy half way through which wakes him up he then realises hes still hungry and guzzles another 60 mls..it works for us,
we also use colief to help get his wind up that again works brilliantly for Alfie..we did try infacol but it didnt make a bit of difference..every babies differnt though and i think its just trial and error.
