Sneezing while nauseous?

Ok... haven't heard anyone mention this before.
I have the normal pregnancy congestion which is fine.

But I'm finding when I'm really nauseous, I sneeze... almost like my body wanted to throw up, but triggered the wrong reflex. Or maybe the need to sneeze makes me nauseous?
Its so weird and I was extra extra nauseous today and had 2 quick really rough sneezes.

Is this happening to ANYONE else? It seems so weird to me!

I'm not feeling particularly nauseous maybe a little light headed & ditsy sometimes lol but I have been sneezing for a few weeks now! its too late for me to have hayfever so assuming it must be the pregnancy...strange hey!

Yea whats the deal with all the sneezing!? Is it actually a pregnancy sympton?? It seems very odd if it is.. xx

Lisa, I have had this symptom forever, not just with pregnancy. Any time I feel nauseous, I sneeze. I have a screwed up gag reflex, so most of the time a couple of sneezes are my only cue that I'm about to be sick.

hmm, interesting to know CMUchick ... so even though mine is tied to the pregnancy it may be that the reflexes are closely linked anyways?

It cracks me up to feel like I want to hurl and to sneeze instead.

Yes, me! Well I did when I was sick. I posted a thread about it and everyone thought I was crazy, glad to hear I'm not the only one that does this!

And on the flip side, if I'm sneezing & not nauseated, the sneezing makes me gag.

And well sneezing without nausea does kind of make me nauseous... but only if stuff trickles down the back of my throat... gross, sorry

Right now rinsing with mouthwash is making me gag!

Just had this again this morning... HUGE wave of nausea... felt like I was about to gag/heave... but let out a GIANT sneeze instead... lol...

OMG YES!!! this happens to me few times a day!!!

Pregnancy does such odd things to us!!!
