Any co sleeping parents in here??

just wanted to know which one do you think is better, the snuzpod or the chicco next to me crib
I love the finish on the snuzpod (love wooden things) but the chicco seems wider, do i need the extra width?

Baby has to go in a co sleeper crib as my daughter still comes in with us in the night and i have a feeling she will even more so when the baby comes, and i dont want her to roll on the bubba and I know hubby would feel better to having the baby is a seperate sleeping bit as thats his one fear too, and not sure i can ship him off to the sofa for the next 6 months. lol

I love our snuzpod. And love that I can lift baby in and out so easily (was particularly good as I had c section) and that I can see and reach out to him. Ive no complaints about it at all although it is a bit pricey. It was our 'luxury item' and was a gift from my parents.

I came across a great review which u might find useful:

There probably isnt much difference between the chico & the snuzpod. I was all set for the former ... Until i came across the snuzpod, which just looks fab. My baby is now 4 months and we'll definitely be using it a good while yet. Like the woman in the review, we use it permanently attached to bed with the one side flap down.

Good luck x

I was going to have the chicco, but like threebirds, went for the snuzpod in the end - I preferred the look of it and it was on offer so was only £10 more than the chicco.

I can't comment on width really, except to say that my DD is a big baby and she's fine in the snuzpod. Sometimes she flings her arms out to the sides so one is in our bed but it's never been a problem. Lengthwise I'm not sure we'll make it to 6 months before she's too tall for it, but she might surprise me, and as I say she is unusually large (though she appears to be slowing to more average size now) :haha:

We have it permanently attached with one side down. I've never used the removable bit out of the main frame. I thought I would bring it downstairs in the day for naps but it's actually fairly heavy and not that practical.

The one thing the chicco has ovr the snuzpod IMO is the ability to elevate one end in the event that LO has reflux.

I love my snuzpod though, it's great to have DD right there for feeding, though she does spend a fair part of the night in our bed anyway. It was great post c-section, as she was on a level with me, making it easier to lift her.

Hope that helps! :flower:

I had my DD in June and I’m so happy with my SnuzPod. I got it in white as I wanted a really neutral nursery. It’s been really easy to use, especially at night for BF. The chicco may actually be a bit bigger but I do think the Snuzpod is wide enough, and we’ll be able to use it for long enough. And the snuzpod does have a gentle rock which is useful in standalone.

Hope that helps x

I like the Chicco, the ability to raise one end has been a life saver as my DD has reflux. I also wouldn't want to go narrower as my DD flings her arms out and it wakes her up if she's too close to the side. I don't know much about the snuzpod but I also like the fact I could collapse the Chicco and take it with me when I went on holiday, we went when she was 8 weeks and I think she would have been lost in our travel cot.

I'll just add, since this thread is up again, we only moved DD into her cot because she started pulling up to stand just before 6 months, not because she'd outgrown it, and she was still on the 91st centile for length at that point (and still is now at 11 months, eek!). So now the snuzpod is waiting for us to have baby #2, and then it will be reused

Oops didn't realise it was an old thread!
