I am just so fed up with this crap. :hissy:
I went to the doctors and he said he was going to do the referral and whatnot for the FS and also send me for an ultrasound which I understand wont be right away. I went back and seen the doctor who was filling in for my doctor (for a tottally unrelated reason) and while I was there she decided to give me the results for my blood test...she said everything seems well on that...and my urine sample came back without any infections. She also told me it could be 6-8 wks before they even call me with an u/s appt date and that it could be another 6-8 wks for the actual appt itself...Ughh the waiting is awful...wouldnt be so friggen bad if I actually had a somewhat clue what the feck is going on with my body. FF keeps giving my friggen crosshairs and then taking it away...giving me them on a tottally different date and now has taken them away again!! :hissy: Arghh I am just so friggen pissed I dont have any clue what is going on...am I or arent I ovulating? I cant even tell anymore...my friggen chart is wacko and all over the place I just cant interpret the stupid thing. I got what we interepreted to be my + opk on cd30 or whatever...faint lines before that and faint lines after that...did one last night for the hell of it and what do ya know? a friggen faint line but definitely darker then the ones after ov..What is going onnnnnnn?? I just feel like crying...I dont even know what to do anymore. How the heck can I have sex on the right days if I dont even know when the hell I am going to ovulate. Hubby works strange hours and I have kids every day from 8am-5pm so can not have sex at anytime between them..so then what? I end up missing my fertile window because of all of this bullsh!t. Eff..Eff..Eff..Eff!!

Sorry rant over.

Believe me, we all get frustrated... I've been there more often than not these past few months.

I'm not sure if it is any help or not but the ovulation sticks I pee on say that a faint line is actually a negative. That only when the line is as dark as - or darker than - the test line is it a positive. (This may serve to frustrate you more, I hope not, that's not my intention!)

I will say that for my sister - the OPK sticks never worked for her, nor did the "early" home pregnancy test sticks. She only ever got a very faint postive on the HPT on the day of or after her period, and not every time. (She wound up having low hormone levels and several miscarriages as a result but now has a wonderful little girl).

Hormones are funny things, and the tools they sell us don't always work right for everybody. Hang in there, keep pushing for the u/s and any & all other tests you can get.

Oh one more quick thing - I actually have to use the OPK sticks at least twice a day - morning and evening. If I don't do that, sometimes I don't get a positive result that month either. The LH surge it is looking for sometimes only lasts a few hours. OK that's it for now!

Two lines on an OPK doesn't necessarily mean a positive result. Sorry to tell you that. There is a control line and a test line. The test line needs to be at least as dark as the control line for a positive.

My doctor told me to use my first urine of the day for this test (it was used as part of a frozen transfer). It'll have the highest concentration of the LH hormone. However your window might actually be shorter. You might want to consider testing twice each day. If it's within your budget, you may want to get a ClearPlan (aka Clear Blue) fertility monitor. That tells you when to test and when your levels are increasing and when you've hit your surge. No need to worry about reading a stick right.

Yes, I already know 2 lines does not mean a pos on an opk...I have been using them for over a year now. However, I do not always get a dark or darker than the control line kind of positive on an opk. Sometimes they are almost as dark but not quite there which most people "consider" pos because that's all they get. Every other month that I have done this (when I dont get a full blown pos) FF has given me my O so I know it must be right and of course after that I get my AF 14 days later. My usual LP is 14 days so I know when I actually ov because my temps do rise and AF comes as normal. That being said, no one has upset me because they said it HAS to be dark or darker...everybody is different and everybody's bodys react different. I do appreciate your replies, thank you, and Im feeling much better. :hug:xx
