Hi all,

just clicked on to say that for the health of our baby I am now a non smoker! I managed 1-2 a day the first week after finding out and for the past few weeks have not had a single cigarette. Finally managed to quit and what better reason!

GL anyone else kicking the habit!

x

I'm doing my best. TOday is another quit date of mine. CONGRATULATIONS from me...THE most, most massive congratulations ever, b/c I know how hard it is. Really...so over the moon for you. You should be so extremely proud of yourself. :hugs:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you. I'm not a smoker anymore, but I do know how difficult it is to quit, especially so quickly. What a lucky baby you've got! :)

I gave up a week ago! (a week after finding out!) feel so much better!!! x

Hi girls,
I quit my 25 a-day, 15 year habit the day I found out and its been totally worth it. I had my first scan yesterday and it was great to know that the baby is doing fine and that I've been doing my best to keep him/her H&H.

Good luck to all those trying to stop, it might be hard but it'll be so worth it!

Well done! I gave up a few years ago, and it is one of the hardest things I've ever done.

And there's no greater reason than for the health of your baby. You deserve to feel pretty pleased with yourself. x

well done all you ladies who have joined me in the non-smoke club xxx let's all be those really annoying ex smokers lol!

I quit 5 weeks ago, finding it really hard today, I'm stressed it's all I can do not to go to the shop and buy some

Yay, well done! I was on 20 a day before getting pregnant (wasn't expecting to get pregnant by the way) and when I found out I went down to 2 a day, then 1 and now I've been completely given up now for just over a week! Feel so much better for having done it - I felt so guilty even when I was only having one a day and it's nice to have a clear conscience now as well as clear lungs! :happydance:

Luckily my nausea has been so bad that the smell of smoke has made me feel so ill so giving up wasn't that difficult (whereas in the past I have been in FLOODS of tears by day 2 of trying to give up - I found it impossible).

Just hoping that once my nausea goes away I won't want to start again... :nope: Oh well, will cross that bridge when (and if) I come to it!

Congrats! :hugs:

congratulations! ive never smoked but i can imagine how hard it must be to stop. well done you! x
