Gah I'm so sorry you have this

I have it too and it SUCKS!
Here's what works for me:
* Cold showers. I guess hot showers work for some people, but I find the heat makes them even more itchy.
* Lukewarm oatmeal baths at night. I got a box of Aveeno Oatmeal Baby Treatment...it's meant for babies with eczema, etc or kids with chicken pox. It helps a bit with the itching!
* Wear lose clothing in the heat. I found that burying my belly under clothes made it get too hot which made it itchy.
* Allergy pills/antihistamines to help you sleep. I only did this the first 2 nights because I really wasn't ok with taking pills to help me sleep while pregnant. I took something called Benadryl...just 1 about 30 minutes before bed...knocked me out
* Put your prescribed cream in the fridge! I leave mine in there and just take it out when I need it...the cold cream feels amazing!
*****This is the only thing that's been my real miracle worker: CALAMINE LOTION!!! I have a bottle with an added antihistamine in it and holy smokes has it ever helped. I started using this about 2 days after I got the prescribed cream from my doctor because I noticed the cream wasn't helping the itching at all, just the spreading of the rash. Since I started using both of them, my rash has pretty much gone away and it really only acts up when it's super hot out...and even then it barely even acts up at all! I put my prescribed cream on 2 times a day (once in the morning and once at night) and between then I use the calamine lotion maybe 2 times. For the first little while it was closer to 4 or 5 though.
Hopefully these tips help you! I've also heard amazing things about a soap called "Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap"...it's suppose to be another one of those miracle workers, but I couldn't find it here.
Feel better soon...and don't forget: DON'T itch!!!
