After been told im not allowed to lift my son any more as my hip is collapsing we decided to take the big leap and take his side off his cot so I wont have to lift him in and out cause its agonising for me, we bought a bed guard yesterday set it all up and toddler-proofed his room, we taught him how to get in and out and he figured it out really quickly. we gave him a bath and he went to bed at 7:20 he got up 8 times but settled down at 7:40. I thought it would be a long long night after all the times he got up before he dropped off to sleep but he didn't get out of bed once, he woke up crying once for his dummy and once for a nappy change but just sat in bed, didn't get up. he was woke up this morning at 7ish by my husband banging around when he got up for work. im so proud of him, he proved me so wrong! just wanted to share it with you all
