hi every one i am nearly 28 weeks preg and yesterday i got a phone call from social services saying that they want to talk to me but they didnt say why or what its about i got to see them next week and i am really worried can anyone explain plz?

I imagine its a couple of things, it could be rotuine in your area dependant on your age? or dependant on the fathers age? are you still at school etc?

no im not and im unemployed ia m 18 nearly 19 and my partner is 25

Sorry in middle of decorating, i dunno then. If you was younger and your bf was older they'd be involved or if you was at school they'd prob be involved. Sounds as though they've recieved a referral. have you had involvement before? just with you saying they rang you? if they've had a referral then it is somebody that has your number otherwise they would just turn up or send a letter. It may be nothihng protocols are different in all counties.

Its odd they have called you and your unaware of why!

Do they have an involvement with you? Have they done so before or anyone in your household? A concerned GP? Domestic violence recorded on records? All the big or small things that may matter basically. Or someone has contacted them ...

dont wanna scare you but if you have no idea as to why social services would be involved and you dont know how they got your number maybe you should have a talk with your OH perhaps hes had dealings with social services as a child, has other children that has or has been seeing someone who has children and social services were involved then.

HI hunni i would emagine its standard if your quite young i had my first at 15 im now 23 married and no 7 is on the way if u need any advice or help fromsomeone who's been thier done that got the tee-shirt please jus ask xxx

Normally if they get in touch with you it is because someone has called them. Try not to let this worry you though. People do this all the time out of spite and they're very much aware of that. They'll listen to what you have to say and look at where you're living ect and probably leave you alone. They rarely take much notice unless they recieve a refferal from a profesional like a school teacher but they have to follow everything up to be on the safe side.
