I am still getting rather bad sore heads...is this normal at 17wks I thought they were to pass after about wk 13, 14.

Also this past days or so I have been feeling dizzy on and off, even when sitting down. Feels like I am on a boat. Anyone else have this??

yep - my headaches started wk12-13 and am now 17wks+4, and only now, am 'recovering from headaches', sorry....

best wishes

I just came on and was going to start a thread about headaches - Ive had a non-stop headache every single day from morning until night for the past 2 weeks and nothing seems to help. Im not feeling dizzy though...

I've been having a few dizzy spells & headaches, I think it's blood pressure related. Maybe get checked with your GP or midwife though if your headaches are very bad? :hugs:

xx

I had severe headaches and dizziness at 13 weeks till about 18 weeks ish....

Yes i am suffering exactly the same and it has got worse this week I am exactly the same stage as you. 17 weeks tom. R u due 5th March? My headaches did settle a bit but now back with this dizziness feeling and off balance....nothing really helps.

disney doll - I'm due 1st March, end of Feb...

My ob/gyn said that I could take solpadeine occasionally (so, twice and a half dose last week), but Gia, it has paracetamol (same as Tylenol), but also 8mg codeine, which I think you have to get on prescription in US....it's not an everyday during pregnancy thing at all, but I had had a migrane/tension headache for almost two weeks and she said ok, within reason. I find that within 10-30 mins, headache is gone but still using ice gel mask or lots of rest as head continues to be sore afterwards....

I have my blood pressure checked every appointment and when I was at 16 wk scan, when she asked why I was so pale, I told her about headaches and she said ok to solpadeine (as above), I asked about pre-elampsia (sp), she said that it isn't diagnosed pre-20 wks and my blood pressure was fine, so don't worry about just having headaches and it being something more serious. I also had hayfever and she said that I could use beconase throughout pregnancy and that has helped with relieving some of pressure in the sinus cavity, possibly leading to tension/migranes.

sigh...the nausea is gone (except when lying down to try and sleep) and the headaches have come, but I am hoping that they will finally go within the next week or so....

best wishes

p.s. please check with your own doctor/midwife if going to use anything stronger than paracetamol/Tylenol as I don't want anybody yelling at me!

I still get all these things... headaches, extreme fatigue, dizzy, etc. It comes and goes but mostly comes rather than goes. :(

Iv had a bad headache for 3 days straight now... I'm 17 weeks too. They've only really started in the last few weeks
