Has anyone else woken up with extremely sore stomach muscles? I've got a few theories about mine but I want to know if maybe its normal. I'm in a good deal of pain, I feel like I just spent the day working out. It honestly hurts to move... First theory is baby was just kicking a lot while I slept and now the muscles are sore. Second theory is all yesterday I was having some cramping due to me having to really use the bathroom, but it wasn't all over my stomach like these are and I think maybe me trying to push to go to the bathroom strained the muscles.

Heres the scary one, the one I'm really afraid of. Last night I made bubble pizza. I didn't bother to check the date of the dough I used since it was only like a week since I bought it. Apparently the middle wasn't completely cooked and I didn't realize it until my DH found a roll that was doughy. I thought I had tasted a few bites that were soft but figured it was just the sauce making it squishy. I googled symptoms of listeria and it said muscle aches, but I'm not sure if it means all over or if it means just in one part of your body. I was getting light headed this morning but when I woke up but after drinking some water I feel a bit better. The pain itself is making me a little nauseous but I don't have a fever. I don't want to worry anyone by calling but I am a bit concerned about that being a possible cause.

The pain is constant but I get like surges to where it'll get extremely painful. Maybe a braxton hicks contraction along with sore muscles? The baby has been moving today so I'm happy about that but I'm still concerned about possibility number 3.

Braxton hicks are possible but having a sore stomach is very common. And using sore muscles hurts! There will be days where your whole belly will just ache, for no obvious reason. (i.e. you didn't do a thousand sit-ups yesterday, lol). It's just a part of pregnancy.

I wouldn't worry too much about listeria. I personally have never heard of a dough causing it, for one. For two, listeria can take a long time for symptoms to show. It doesn't really seem to be something that starts within a few hours of eating something bad. Not saying it can't happen cause I'm in no way qualified to say that but still. I would not be concerned about listeria from the dough.

Thank you...I might call L&D just to check in because I'm literally in tears from it hurting so bad. I read somewhere that stomach pain from listeria can occur up to 48 hours after and the other symptoms can take a while.

I wouldn't doubt its just normal, thank you for the info though :3 I feel a little better knowing it could be nothing at all.
