Sorry, I'm post happy today: Do you like YOUR name?

I love my name i suppose its quite commen but i still love it :D (Its obviously charlotte lol) Thats probably why i'm calling little one charlie :haha: xx

My name is Kerri, I used to like it as a child, i was the only one in any of my schools etc. Kerry Katona screwed it all up for us though! My husbands family are originally from County Kerry in Ireland and he says he always wanted a little girl called Kerry so i suppose thats quite nice. My little brother could never say my name so i was 'Keg' or 'Kez' growing up. I could never get things with my name on them as a child as it's spelled differently, i remember being desperate for pencils with my name on but refusing to have 'Kerry' on them!

I never had a massive like or dislike for my name (Rachel) but really disliked the shortening Rach. So when I was in my teens I quizzed my friends about how it could be shortened, one of them came up with Rai which I changed to Rae to make use of the e in my name. I love this and although there have been a couple of confusing moments ("Ray, that's a good strong name for a techy" - before he was corrected and informed that I was female!) I find it a very feminine yet alternative name. The fact that May is often spelt Mae nowadays has helped feminise it and it seems to be becoming more popular but I still like the fact that it is unusual!
My middle name, Sara, (pronounced the same as Sarah) is really special to me though as it is a family name that goes back a few generations and is the same as my aunts first name and it's nice to share that with her. Weirdly though, without people knowing my middle name, I've been accidently called Sarah on loads of different occassions. I guess I must just have a Sarah face!
Having just found out that we're expecting a girl the fore runner on our name list is Ada Maria (surname). Ada was my great grandmother (on my maternal grandmothers side), who I never knew but her name has always seemed really beautiful. Maria is my MILs middle name and we wanted something honour her, obv our surname comes from FILs side, he sadly passed away few years ago, and we wanted to honour DHs family and DD will know her Oma!

well im glad i have an unusual name, but i dont like my name. it's Bryony. it sucks. the amount of people who get it wrong, spell it wrong, just plain forget it blah blah... hence i go by the name B. it doesnt help that im named after a poisinous flower :growlmad:

DH and i love unusual names and have picked unusual ones for our babies (Naomi Dakota and the new baby which we arent telling yet), i just hope they like their names!

I don't mind my name, I think it's a bit boring though, and like some people said, there was always a few of us in my classes!! It's Emma, I was named after my dad's grandma, who was his favourite person in the world, so I'm proud to be named after someone so special :) x

My name is Ciarra, while I like it I would have prefered it been said correctly and my mom would not have folded and let people start saying it wrong. My named is supposed to be said (KEER-ah) but people pronounce it Sierra.. Ah well.

Funny, Is see your name and pronounce it "Sea-air-ah", or "Sea-arr-ah"

I think that is a beautiful name regardless. :)

BUMPED Shamelessly, for high traffic.

I really like my name now. When I was younger I hated it, I don't even know why. Simply because it was my name I suppose, also when I was in middle school it became common and I always wanted an uncommon name. It is Samantha.

My name is Sabrina..

Now that I'm older and I dont have to deal with the "Sabrina the teenage witch" remarks constantly like I did in school, I love my name. It's unique and it suits me.

In highschool though, it turned to "b!tch" instead of witch, which I didn't really mind at the time, it was suitable :haha:

My names Holly, obviously! Never minded it too much but i quite often get "were you born in december?" Yes i was, well done :haha: My parents couldnt decide on a name for me so when i was born the neighbour just said "what about Holly?" (due to december birthday) so that was it.

I used to hate my name..... Because i always got teased in elementary. But now that i'm older i actually like my name. It's Maggie..... Worked for when i was a little girl and it still works for me now nd it will work just as good when i'm an old lady LOL. My great grandma was also named Maggie:happydance:

Its Gaelic so the spelling is harder for people to actually understand how its to be pronounced. I have been called "Sea-arr-ah" a LOT by teachers growing up. BLAH!

I like my name, apart from, it's really rare so I daren't use it online because there are literally like, 3 of us in the UK, so if you google me, you'll know where I live! lol xxx

My name is Lucy Elizabeth i think it is an okay name, I was named Lucy because my parents didnt want me to have a name that would be shortened but i get all sorts... Juicy lucy, looby loo. Lol

If i wasnt already called lucy i would be tempted to use it for Isobel. x

My name is Stacie (as some of you might of guessed) and I really don't like my name, it is quite common and seems to have a bad reputation attached to it :(
