sorry to ask but how can i tell the difference between thrush and thenormal pregnancy discarge, i dont fancy going to the docs if its just normal pregnancy discharge

Thrush can be yellowish and thick. Mainly you will know because you will be really itchy and sore if you have thrush and it can make sex painful. If it doesn't itch then you're probably fine! Or you can eat some live natural yogurt (and put some in your knickers!) and that is a natural way to resolve thrush x

I have no idea.. but Great question, I would love to know this also!

its thick but not yellow, and its not sore or itchy, i cant remember getting discharge with my son, would it harm the baby if i got some thrush treatment just incase?

You know if you have thrush as the itching is unbearable. The discharge smells like yeast, it's quite distinctive. If it's just normal pregnancy discharge it will just be thick with no smell, no itching and no soreness. I wouldn't take any medicine or treatment unless you're sure that's what it is. I'm having a lot of pregnancy discharge, it's quite normal and nothing to worry about :)

thrush discharge is white but looks like cottage cheese - very bitty and thick but also watery. pregnancy discharge i assume is like your normal discharge although my tends to be white as far as i know u can use thrush treatmentsxx

I've found the discharge I get in pregnancy looks very similar to what I usually get with thrush, but with pregnancy the volume is much greater and there's no itching. If you have thrush, you'll know, you'll feel itchy and irritated and miserable. I wouldn't treat it unless you are getting the itching and irritation. Those pills and creams can really screw up your vaginal pH and the healthy bacteria that you need in there. If you are concerned, see your doctor and have them test you. Then treat it if it is in fact thrush. More than likely though, it's just your body doing exactly what it's meant to, unless you have any obvious symptoms.
