I read that tomtoes and spicy food can be a bit troublesome for LOs nappies.... am I mad to try spicy tomato pasta already? I ate tonnes of penne allarribiatta(Spelling¨?!?) while pregnant and love it!

Go for it!!! Most of what you hear about what to eat/not eat during bfing is kind of rubbish. Individual mom's/babies may have sensitivies to certain foods, but you don't find that out until you try. And most babies are fine with whatever you eat and the more diverse your diet while bfing the more diverse your babies diet will be (funny story- our son loved some alligator we had him taste at 10-ish months so we sent a little to school the next day for his lunch time tasting and they thought we were NUTS!!). So I would not cut anything out until/unless your baby shows signs of being intolerant. Bon Appetite!!!

I don't eat spicy food but the otherday I ate a plate of tomatoes and Kieran was fine after and his nappies were normal so I think it must depend on the baby if they react badly to it or not :)

i have been eating tonnes of spicy food andtomatoes and tom is fine

i eat spicy food all the time and Ffion is fine with it

I eat everything (spicy, chocolate, tomatoes etc.)in moderation and so far no problems.

I eat whatever I want (except I'm limiting dairy) whenever I want. The things you eat modify the taste of your milk, so you may see baby frustrated at the breast. I've heard that by exposing LO to a number of different "flavors" you may help them be less fussy eaters. But I'm not sure how important that is in the long run.

To actually make baby have digestive problems there has to be something that passes from you, through your blood and into your milk. (Caffine, dairy protiens, etc.)

Just thought I'd add that.
