Spitting up like crazy

Here is the problem:

I have a 5 day old and BF has been going much better than I ever hoped! As of last night though, I am engorged and my baby is spitting up every single time he nurses. Is he getting too much milk too fast? I'm nervous to alter too much at this time since I'm only 5 days into this and want to make sure nothing I do hinders my milk supply. Any suggestions y'all have are great!

Sounds like you're doing really well.

Is baby gaining weight? If so then it's really not an issue, it might just be that he is taking too much and sicking up the excess, but it probably won't last when your supply settles down a bit.

If he is gaining weight then I'd not worry xx

Its probably just the adjustment from colostrum to milk but you could always try compressions to encourage let down and latch lo on when the flow is established. It might helpif the fast flow is causing the problem.
