Hi all,

I will be 6 weeks on Sunday and this morning I had some cramping and noticed pinkish spotting when I wiped. It's been on and off all day so I phoned my doctor and the nurse told me that it was normal and just to rest for the weekend. I'm trying not to worry but I'm really scared that it's the start of mc. Keeping all fingers crossed that it's normal and just implantation bleed - that baby's holding on tight! Anyone else been this scared at 6 weeks?

Hi CatGirl,

My little story:

Last Friday I was out shopping and I felt a sudden gush (felt like when my Af arrives). Ran to the toilet..bright red watery blood not even just spotting, it soaked me! It happened again 5 mins later. I freaked out, went straight to docs and had until Monday for a scan. Over the weekend, had dark brown discharge.

Had scan on Monday, they told me all they could see was an empty sac, totally devastated, had blood taken on Mon and on Wed. Phoned for results on Thursday and my levels had risen. Had another scan this morning and there was little bean with a heartbeat and everything.

What I'm trying to say is without giving you my life story that even with bright red blood it can still be ok. A few of my friends had pinkish spotting and it is normal. Obviously if you get any pain or are really stressing then go the doctors on Monday to put your mind at rest.

I still have a while to go before my 12 week scan so I'm trying to relax.

I'm not trying to give you false hope only my experience but if you are still concerned on Monday they go the docs, that's what they're there for.

Hope this helps x

Thanks Jaffacake,

I'm trying not to worry too much but will definitely go to the docs on Monday if i'm still worried.

Thanks again x

I've had some spotting on Thursday and they've decided to send me for an early scan as i've had a miscarriage this year already at 12 weeks.

If you get any pain or more bleeding either go and see your gp or go to a+e and they should scan you.

Bleeding can be totally normal in early pregnancy
